Also ideal for family holidays as the complex has a children's club in peak season, a toddler paddling pool as well as 3 further pools, tennis courts, playground and a multi purpose sports area. There is a fully equipped gym with sauna, solarium and spa.

Changeover day
Preferably Saturday but we are flexible depending on other bookings. Check in and check out are 2pm and 10am respectively. Arrangements may be made at reception for baggage and late or early arrival/departures may be negotiated if bookings allow.

Apartment 1D block E (2 Bedroom, Sleeps 4/6)
Master bedroom with double bed, dressing table, fitted wardrobes, air conditioning and en-suite.
Bedroom 2 with twin beds, fitted wardrobes and air conditioning.
En-suite to bedroom 1 with bath/shower over.
The family bathroom has bath/shower over with WC.
The air conditioned lounge has a dining table with 6 chairs, stunningly furnished. TV and DVD player. Two large sofas (one of which is a sofa bed). The lounge leads onto a fully furnished balcony including sunbeds.
The fully fitted kitchen has granite work surfaces, cooker with ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and internal vacuum system, ironing board and iron.
The kitchen has access to the main furnished balcony.

Apartment 1C block E (2 Bedroom, Sleeps 4/6)
Master bedroom has double bed, dressing table and fitted wardrobes, air conditioning and en-suite.
Bedroom 2 with twin beds, air conditioning and fitted wardrobes.

The separate air conditioned, spacious bedroom has twin beds, dressing table, fitted wardrobes and leads onto a small private balcony with a sea view.
The very large air conditioned lounge has a dining table with 6 chairs and two large sofas (one of which is a double sofa bed), TV and DVD player. The lounge leads onto a large fully furnished balcony including sun loungers.
The bathroom has a bath/shower over and WC.
The fully fitted kitchen has a door leading to main balcony, granite work surfaces, cooker and ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and toaster and integrated vacuum system.

Notes on accommodation
All bedrooms and lounges are air conditioned. The apartments are beautifully furnished and if visiting in the winter months have under floor heating. The village of Luz and the Estrela da Luz complex are family friendly offering a wealth of activities in high season. The resort is also very suitable for a peaceful out of season break. The stunning beach is only 5 mins walk and there are lots of bars and restaurants to visit. There is designated underground parking at the resort and a lift to each apartment.

Outside
The gardens are landscaped and very lush. The balconies in the apartments are furnished with tables, chairs and sunbeds. There are 3 outdoor pools on the complex, including a toddler paddling pool. There is an indoor pool which is super all year round and is part of the spa with jacuzzi and sauna, there are adult only swim times at certain times of the day.

Coast/Beach
5 mins walk to the lovely promenade and stunning beach flanked by sandstone cliffs and lined with sumptuous beachside cafes and restaurants. A complete range of water sports are available from the beach including an all day club for those kids a bit too big for the kids club on the complex.

Golf
Estrela da Luz is well served by 4 golf courses - Boavista (5 mins), Palmares, Parque de Floresta, Penina. All within 20 mins, all 18 hole and Estrela da Luz guests enjoy a discounted rate.

Travel
There are direct flights from most UK airports to Faro. The journey from Faro to Luz is approx 1 hour. There are hire car facilities at Faro airport which can be organised in advance or a taxi can be arranged to take you directly to Estrela da Luz at a cost of 80 euros.

Distances
Everything in Luz is within walking distance. Lagos is the closest main town and is 6km, a taxi or the Estrela da Luz shuttle bus can take you there. The western Algarve is a wonderful coastline to explore with lots of beaches and restaurants. Alternatively, Lisbon, the capital is only 3 hours drive.

Further details
Luz has superb English speaking medical facilities, cinema and a bank. There are supermarkets and numerous bars and restaurants. Locally there are 2 water parks, Zoo Marine, Lagos Zoo, crazy golf and horse riding is also available.

Booking notes
non refundable deposit of 15% is payable on booking. Balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival by cheque or bank transfer. Cancellation refunds, 4-6 weeks 50% of rate refunded, 2-4 weeks 25% of rate refunded. Less than 2 weeks no refund. Guests are responsible for their own travel insurance.
