Casa Cassandra is a character villa built in a typical Algarvian style with original tiled floors and wooden beam and cane ceilings. This is a homely, well furnished, fully equipped villa with 3 comfortable bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a heated pool. All bedrooms have air-conditioning which also doubles up as heating. The windows are double glazed with secure shutters and the there is an alarm. Kitchen has all necessary appliances inc washing machine and granite worktops. The villa is surrounded by a mature garden and enclosed by hedging/fencing offering privacy and security. Its feature is its excellent position on top of the hill overlooking Carvoeiro, 800m from the town centre and the nearest beach. Carvoeiro itself is an old fishing village grown into a small residential seaside town with a lot to offer: beaches, restaurants, bars, shops, golf, tennis and other outdoor activities and sports - all without high-risers or big apartment blocks.

Notes on accommodation
The villa has a broadband internet access and a telephone for incoming and local calls. Children's amenities such as cots, highchairs, pool toys, steriliser are available free of charge. We also have a reliable babysitter on call. The villa is on one level and although not especially adapted for disabled it is suitable for people with slight mobility problems. A complimentary welcome pack is provided. This a non-smoking villa indoors.
Outside
Large covered terrace and barbecue/pool area including 6 sunbeds and mattresses. The pool (10m x 5m) can be heated for an extra cost (see pricing details) and it has a shallow end for children. Beautiful mature garden, with trees and shrubs, surrounds the villa and there are electric gates to the road so the young ones are safe and cannot escape.
Coast/Beach
The Algarve has everything to offer: quiet coved beaches, caves and immense long sandy beaches streching to 4km.
From the villa you only need to walk 5/10 minutes to get to one of them!
The West Coast offers the best waves for surfing (tuition available).
Golf
The Algarve has some of the best golf courses of all scales. The local courses are two 18-hole courses within Pestana Golf and Country estate (10min drive) and Vale de Milho Par3 9-hole course (5min drive). Several other courses within 20-30mins drive including Penina Championship course (designed by Sir Henry Cotton) and Morgado 36-hole course. Several clubs have a "passport" scheme offering reduced green fees and during the summer cut-price green fees are available from mid-afternoon and other special offers.
Special interest holidays
There are many Riding Centres in the area offering tuition and treks for adults and children. Please ask us for details. We can also help you to organise a "tailored" jeep safari or a day out with quadbikes. Carvoeiro has a great tennis club with 13 courts and a gym. Also scuba diving, deap sea fishing, walking, cyckling, canoeing, wind-surfing etc are popular in the area. For those looking for a "peace of mind", for example, yoga/pilates is easily available.
Travel
Faro airport is a 45 minute drive and Lisbon is 2.5 hours. Car hire recommended but not essential. Pick up from the airport on request. There is off-road parking for a maximum of 2 cars.
