Our huge luxury villa has the wow factors, this is an affordable luxury family holiday, share costs with friends and family, it is cheap. Our garden has a 7.5m pool (heated) and toddler's pool. BBQ and patio area with a summerhouse is perfect for alfresco dining. The garden area is fully lit. Games include table tennis, pool table, basketball, small goal, boules, darts, rifle shooting (air gun), tree house. The historic town of Silves is dominated by its castle, wander the cobbled streets, visit the market and try one of the many cafes and bars. One of the best restaurants in the Algarve is only a short walk, 1 min by car. Carvoeiro and the beach is 10 mins by car. Our coastline is the best in the Algarve, with breathtaking cliff top walks and hidden coves to explore. Golf, 3 courses within 5 mins, 2 waterparks close,Slide and Splash, is 5 mins, Aqualand is 8 mins. In local villages a 3 course meal with wine and coffee; under £10. Perfect fun in luxury for families of all ages.

Notes on accommodation
Officially licenced for rental by the Portuguese Government, our property has all safety standards exceeded. Air-conditioning, en-suite, radio and satellite TV in all bedrooms, by UK standards the bedrooms are very large, the three upper bedrooms all have private verandas. WiFi internet access 24/7 free for checking emails, longer periods chargeable at Portuguese Telecom rates. Two cots, 2 high chairs, playpen, baby walker, bottle sterilizer all included free. The stairs leading to the upstairs bedrooms can be safely gated top & bottom with quality stair gates for parents with toddlers. For music lovers there is a Bose SoundDock Ipod player for perfect sound reproduction plus a Sony radio/CD player. There are guides to show the best economical eateries and also those that are a little more expensive. If planning any special events like birthdays, anniversaries etc we can help with the planning by making banners etc discreetly and free of charge.

Private heated adult swimming pool and toddlers pool, both safely gated from the patio and garden area denying toddler access, sun loungers, top quality tables and chairs for outdoor dining on a balustraded patio with movable sunshades, huge built-in charcoal BBQ, small summerhouse with table & chairs, ping pong table, outdoor pool table, (free but optional charity donation which is then doubled by us for Children in Need & Comic Relief ), basketball, air rifle shooting, tree house, small football goal, dartboard. two adult BMX unisex type bicycles available inc. helmets all for the sole use of our clients. Regret no children's bikes. Pool heating if required is to 26/27c, higher temperatures charged at a higher rate, the toddlers pool is unheated. Mini pets corner with guinea pigs, rabbits and chickens for really tasty natural fresh eggs when and if they lay. Pergola poolside with sails for sun protection. Lots of fun for the whole family and all games are free.
Coast/Beach
Nearest beach Carvoeiro 10 mins by car, hundreds of other beaches all very close, our particular stretch of coastline is dramatically beautiful, certainly the best in the Algarve and contains probably the best clifftop walks to be had anywhere in the world.
Golf
Silves golf course within 5 mins drive. 2 other courses Val do Pinta & Gramacho within 8 mins drive, new fabulous Amendoeiras golf course 10 mins, Penina 15 mins, many others all less than a 30 mins drive. Note; Always pre book your rounds online for the best deals.
Travel
Faro airport 35 mins by car. Car hire essential, we can recommend local car hire companies that are much cheaper.
Distances
1km to Silves Gare, this tiny village has no church or library but has seven bars! 4km to the larger city of Silves, 4km Lagoa, 10km Carvoeiro, 300 metres to one of the best restaurants in the Algarve, the famous O'Barradas, especially for fish and veal and huge selection of affordable wine, top quality dining at UK pub prices. A host of other restaurants some ridiculously cheap for example a 3 course meal with half a litre of wine & coffee included for 7.50 euros,many within a 10 minute drive.

Booking notes
During the high summer (European school holiday time) , regret we only accept fortnightly bookings with Saturday changeovers. Outside these dates we are flexible with the minimum rental period being seven days. Now booking 2012 at this years prices, token deposit secures your dates, returning guests always given priority.

The owners Peter and Linda,
Are a couple of old grannies that moved to Portugal in 2002 and have both fallen in love with the Silves area and the local people, our three lads and five grandchildren live in the UK.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We are very fortunate that one of the best restaurants in the Algarve, the O'Barradas is just a five minute stroll, serving quality food and wine.
Another almost world famous restaurant is Rui Marisceira in Silves, shellfish to die for,essential to book in advance here, especially in high season. Hundreds of other restaurants abound the Algarve with prices to suit all pockets, best buy is always Prato do Dia (plate of the day) which normally has several choices of meat or fish.
The villa set on a hillside has three Portuguese neghbours, all kind and caring people, none of which can overlook or overhear any of your private space.
To sit on the veranda looking down the valley to Silves Gare or by the landscaped garden/pool area with a cup of tea in the morning is astonishingly beautiful.

Was purpose built which opened in 2006 to exacting standards with meticulous attention to detail. It has been thought thru very carefully with aid of hindsight from our own holidays in years past. Everything is designed for families with children to have a fabulous time with plenty of games all free.
The owners live nearby and will never intrude guests privacy but on hand 24/7 if anything should go wrong or to give advice on local places and events.
Similarly we know the places to avoid for example those restaurants that serve food and does not give value for money, your holiday is important to us.
The heated pools and gardens - are kept scrupulously clean, Linda’s love of plants makes the garden a sight to see, her love of animals is evident in the mini pets corner.
