Walk along the castle walls with their breathtaking views or wander along the cobbled streets with their quaint shops selling locally produced artifacts, and wine from the region. Enter Praia D’el Rey (which translates as the beach of the King), through the pinewood and eucalyptus forests and you will discover the reason why the golf course has variously been voted as the best in Portugal and recently No. 80 in the world! There is also a championship standard tennis complex within the resort and just a 2 minute walk from the apartment. Within a few minutes drive of the apartment are a selection of local bars, cafés and restaurants in the nearby villages. Set within a delightful resort development, which boasts miles of uncrowded sandy beaches, it is the perfect holiday destination – fit for a King!

Travel
50 minutes from Lisbon airport - car hire essential unless one is prepared just to stay on the resort.
Distances
Within just a short drive one can discover the varied history of the region – visit the museum in Lourinhã where there is the largest collection of dinosaur fossils and dinosaur eggs in Portugal; or for something slightly more recent visit the Ceramic Museum in Caldas Da Rainha which features collections from the 16th Century. Of great historical importance are the battlefields of Roliça and Torres Vedras where Wellesley (later the Duke of Wellington) defeated Napolean’s invading troops.
