Outside
The 9x4m swimming pool was replaced last year and boasts latest mosaic tiling and underwater lighting for relaxing evenings. There is plenty of garden furniture including and a large round marble dining table and chairs. There is paved patio and a lawn area for sunbathing or for kids to play.
Coast/Beach
The beaches in Portugal are among the very best in Europe, and those near the villa are no exception. A photographer's dream with cliffs, private coves, natural vegetation and all within walking distance. Gale beach itself is a soft safe sandy beach which is located approximately 10 minutes walk from the villa and goes on for miles. There are water sports available and some impressive beach restaurants.
Golf
The Algarve is the home of golf and we are in the centre of it all, the nearest Golf Clus is Salgados, just 2km away and all other Golf Clubs are only a short drive, namely Quinta do Lago Vale Do Lobo, Villamoura and many more.
Distances
The local airport is Faro. Approx 30km away and served by most UK and continental airports. From Faro you can travel by taxi, hire car or mini bus. The roads are good and easy to use, particularly the new motorway which runs just a few miles from the villa and this can be used to visit other places such as Seville, just across the border in Spain.
Further details
There are lots of good quality restaurants and bars within easy walking distance and without the noisy blaring town bars. There is much entertainment starting with the Zoo Marina about 5 miles away, Portuguese nights Jeep Safaris, Mountain tripsand City trips including Lisbon and exciting red city of Seville in Spain The are also boat trips and fishing trips from the new local 400 berth marina. For shopping there are local supermarkets you can walk to and for bigger shopping there are the shopping malls of Algarve shopping centres about 5 miles away. For those of you who like town night life there is the old town of Albufeira with night clubs bars and street entertainments.

Thank you very much for allowing us to take the villa, we all had a great time. As Anne said "she was sorry to be leaving Portugal", normally we are pleased to be coming home. The holiday was a fantastic break for us all; we spent most days by the pool and exploring places to eat in the evening. Your suggestions were excellent. Thanks to you again - the villa made our holiday.
Your Villa met all our expectations and was in a great location for a gentle walk down to the local beaches, and most of the local restaurants were very good too.
A big thank you for your information pack that you have compiled as it proved invaluable when we needed to call out the doctor.
