Our quality 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom property enjoys the benefits of enclosed gardens, seating areas and a splendid communal pool. Importantly our particular property is in an excellent south facing position benefiting the sun throughout the day and having clear uninterrupted views of the pool and surrounding areas from the lounge and first floor terrace. The property comprises hall, lounge with dining area and fully fitted and equipped kitchen. The 3 bedrooms are tastefully furnished, each individually serviced by a separate bathroom. The property boasts English Satellite TV (including Sky Sports), VHS/DVD player with a selection of films for all the family and XBox/Game Cube with games. Notes on prices
In order to maximise flexibility for your travel arrangements and the number of nights you wish to stay we provide a nightly rate. Please note however that they apply for a minimum stay of 3 up to 6 nights. Ideal if you just want a long weekend break, say 4 nights. This would simply be calculated as 4 nights at the relevant nightly rate. However, if you stay for 10 nights this is calculated as the weekly rate for the appropriate period plus 3 nights at 1/7th of the weekly rate multiplied by 3.
Changeover day
We endeavour to maintain a degree of flexibility with regard to changeover days. However, in the event of a same day changeover we request that guests vacate the property by 11:00am to make available for incoming guests at 3:00pm.

Notes on accommodation
For your comfort during the main part of the summer and cooler winter periods the property comes fully air conditioned with remote heating/cooling control in each main area.
Outside
Extensive L shaped private terrace with superb pool and sea views. Terrace has table and 4 chairs, parasol, sun loungers and BBQ. Not forgetting the exceptional and large communal pool.
Coast/Beach
Superb sandy, wide, safe and clean beaches are a speciality of this part of the Algarve. Easy access by ferry or fisherman’s boat at Tavira or Cabanas, or by walking in Manta Rota, Praia Verde, Altura, Monte Gordo, Santa Luzia and Villa Real St.Antonio.
Golf
There is a number of excellent golf courses within a short distance. The closest being Benamor Golf (18 holes), Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima (both 18 holes). A little further a field to the west is Colina Verde (9 holes) whilst the most easterly course in the Algarve, Castro Marim, is a delight to play.
Travel
Tavira is located 35km east of Faro. Hiring a car from Faro airport is easy with a number of rental companies located directly opposite the arrivals area. Tavira is approximately 30 minutes drive from the airport using either the original N125 or new motorway link. Alternatively there is an excellent train or bus service which runs eastward from Faro via Tavira to the Spanish border. Tavira train station is a few minutes taxi drive from the property. The Spanish border is only 25 minutes away.
Distances
Tavira is within easy walking distance of the Alto do Perogil. Only 15km to charming fishermen’s towns of Olhao and Fuzeta, the nature reserve Ria Formosa is within 8km and unspoilt villages such as Santa Luzia, Cabanas and Cacela Velha are all within a few kms. The Spanish border is within 30 mins by car and the beautiful Spanish city of Seville not much more than an hour over the border.
Further details
With its timeless atmosphere, traditional character and dignified charm, it's little wonder that many consider the elegant riverside town of Tavira to be the most pleasant and picturesque in the Algarve. The town is divided by the River Gilao with many restaurants and bars along the riverside and in the narrow streets behind.

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking with the balance 6 weeks before arrival. A refundable guarantee/deposit of £200 is required at time of payment of the balance. Payments are accepted in the form of cheque, bank transfer or PayPal (Fees Apply) and can be accepted in Sterling or Euros. A welcome pack can be made available upon request. A cot and highchair is available free of charge upon request. Long term winter rates are available at reduced prices.

About the owner
Linda and I live and work in the UK. Our two sons have both grown up and left us so we spend most of our time working and looking after our four dogs (two Lurchers and two Bedlington Terriers).
We spend as much time as we can manage each year in Tavira where we have made many friends.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We first visited the Algarve in 2004 and both immediately fell in love with it.
We had been thinking for a number of years about buying a small piece of sunshine of our own but until that first visit to Portugal it was little more than a dream.
Our love of the Algarve spurred us on to realise our dream and after almost a year of searching decided the Eastern Algarve was the area for us. In particular we became infatuated with the charm of the fishing town of Tavira, unspoilt by the impact of overdevelopment yet attracting many visitors who come to absorb the relaxed atmosphere on offer in the many cafes and restaurants.
Unique benefits of the property
Alto do Perogil is a small luxury condominium nestled on a hill above the town, offering peace and quiet when required, with relatively short walk or ride into town if the mood takes - Bliss!
