Luxury, fully equipped, linked villa set in the mature gardens of the 4 star Rocha Brava Resort, situated on the cliff tops to the east of Carvoeiro. There are 3 swimming pools - the main pool is just 5 mins walk from villa, the Ocean View pool is only 2/3 mins away and the Country Village pool is also 2/3 mins away and is heated in the winter. All the pools have children's pools alongside. Tennis and gym at discounted rates for residents. There is also a beauty salon. Centianes beach is 10 mins walk west from villa & Carvalho beach is 15 mins walk east. The villa's prime location + local & resort facilities make it a superb choice for all holidaymakers, including golfers. The interior decoration is in very good condition, the en-suite shower room was completely refurbished last season and there is a fabulous new tiled dining area & BBQ on the roof terrace. The owners occupy the property as their home throughout the winter, and visitors will find it extremely well equipped.

Notes on accommodation
The villa is single storey with well planned accommodation.
Superb resort for families yet peaceful enough for couples too.
Outside
The villa has a south-facing terrace with a small lawned garden. There is a tiled roof canopy over the garden terrace outside the lounge patio doors - this roof provides a spacious shaded area over half of the terrace for comfortable summer day-time dining & relaxing out of the direct sun. On the garden terrace there is a table and 4 chairs + 2 recliners. Steps lead up to a very large roof/sun terrace with 4 sunloungers. New for 2006 is a splendid rooftop dining area [attractive tiled table and bench seating] + built-in barbecue: excellent for breakfast and the warm summer evenings. From the roof terrace guests have a wonderful panoramic view of the sea and can enjoy the sunshine from sunrise to sunset. Glorious sunset skies make this a prime spot for summer evenings.
Coast/Beach
The nearest beach is Centianes - 10 mins walk to the west of the villa. Carvalho is 15 mins walk away to the east. Both beaches can be reached in just a few minutes by car.
Golf
The nearest courses in Carvoeiro are at picturesque Vale do Milho (9 hole, par 3) which is only 5 mins away by car, and the excellent Pestana Golf Club (15 mins away) with 2 x 18 hole courses - Gramacho & Pinta. Slightly further afield but still easily accessible are the well known courses of Palmares, Penina, Salgados and Boavista as well as the new course at Morgado (between Portimao and Monchique). Additionally, there is a multitude of famous courses in the Quinta do Lago/Vale do Lobo/Vilamoura areas, and notably the superb course at Sao Lourenco.
Travel
45 mins from Faro Airport. Car hire is not essential (there are mini supermarkets and several bars/restaurants on-site and nearby, and Rocha Brava provides a free minibus service into Carvoeiro). A hired car allows easy access to a variety of beautiful beaches along this coastline & on the west coast + places of interest further afield. Rocha Brava reception is manned 24 hours a day and can arrange taxis to/from the airport on request. Details of car rental/taxi companies can also be provided.
Distances
The Rocha Brava Resort is about 1.5 miles to the east of the picturesque small town of Carvoeiro with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Historic towns of Silves (15 mins drive), Monchique (25 mins drive) and Lagos (25 mins drive).
Further details
The accommodation, the Resort & facilities and Carvoeiro's strategic location approximately midway on the Algarve, are ideal for the holidaymaker who just wishes to sit back and relax, those who wish to self-cater and those who wish to play golf or explore. The excellent Intermarche supermarket is a short drive from the Resort and shops/takeaways/banks/cash points are all available in Carvoeiro town. Silves, Monchique and Lagos are towns of historic interest. Carvoeiro, Portimao and the Algarve Shopping Complex at Guia provide a wide range of shops.
Tennis: The Rocha Brava Resort has an excellent 4-court Tennis Club and Gymnasium for residents and guests. Every afternoon (Monday - Saturday) and on Sunday mornings there is Club Tennis (5 Euros pp per session), organised by the resident coach. Very friendly atmosphere for all standards of tennis. Courts can also be rented throughout the day for personal games or you can join in the Club sessions, where it is easy to meet other guests as well as local residents.
A 'Kids Club' [ages 4-12 years] is organised to amuse the children during the peak season. Details available from Reception on arrival.
Watersports: Algar Seco (5 mins drive) is popular for snorkelling & diving and Ferragudo beach (15 mins drive) has a range of watersports including jet skis, windsurfing & pedalos for hire. Slide & Splash and Aqualand water parks are all within a short drive as well as Zoomarine with its marine & wildlife, rides & opportunity to swim with dolphins.
