Quinta Familia is a farmhouse with a swimming pool, nestling in the beautiful hills of Cerro das Covas approx 10km north of Loule. The views from the farmhouse are across a valley of olive, carob and almond trees. Cerro das Covas is a hamlet on the outskirts of a small village. The countryside is teeming with birds, including eagles and owls, rabbits and the occasional herd of goats being rounded up by a local goatherd and moved to new pastures. A five minute walk down the hill is the local cafe/bar where you can buy a beer and relax in the sunshine with the locals watching the everyday business of the sleepy hamlet.
