in the hills away from the hustle and bustle, unoverlooked
but only 15 mins drive to the large village of Cacela, where you get get all your needs, groceries, excellant bars and restaurants, shops and post office.

Coast/Beach
The Algarve has some of the best beaches in Europe, Manta Rota being one of the closest with the beach stretching for miles also close by is Monte Agudo with its Casino where you can catch a show, have a nice meal or just have a flutter. Also the Spanish border is a very short drive away.

Golf
There are a number of excellent golf courses nearby, namely Benamar 5500 mtr. par 71
Casrta Marim 5466 mtrs. par 72
Quinta Da Ria 6110 mtr. par 72
Quinta De Sima 6256 mtrs. par 72
All within 10 to 15 minute drive or less.
Soon to open, Monte Rei which is within 5 mins. away.

Travel
Faro is the nearest airport and is a 40 minute drive.
Spanish border 20 minute drive.
Tavira where you can catch a train to cross the length of the Algarve with its many places of interest is only 20 minute drive away.
Car is essential. Pick up can be arrange at Airport if required.

Further details
The area of Galharda is ideal for hiking, biking,etc.
Cacela has one of the largest markets in the Algarve and has some of the nicests bars/restaurants there is. You must try the steak on the stone. Fantastic for steak lovers.
