Casa Oleiro stands in a delightful garden (1/3rd acre) with a 12m x 5m salt water pool, heating (optional). Approached by a sweeping driveway which gives seclusion without isolation. The main living rooms are on the upper level with French windows on to a large terrace. Breathtaking views of the 11th, 16th and 17th holes and the coastline. Three bedrooms on the lower level - french windows on to the terraces and swimming pool. Study/4th bedroom on the upper level.

Changeover day
Saturdays is the preferred changeover day. However we try to be flexible, particularly out of the main summer season.

Casa Oleiro stands in a beautifully matured garden of 1/3rd acre with a private saltwater pool (12x6m) - heating available. Covered BBQ with inset sink unit. Large terraces at both levels & around the pool with tables and chairs on both levels. Pool loungers around the pool. Sun brollies.
Coast/Beach
The Unspoilt West Algarve is famed for its beautiful sandy beaches and sheltered coves. The unspoilt fishing village of Salema is our nearest beach - 5 minutes by car.
Many other beaches within 15 minutes. The wild West coast is a 'must' where the Atlantic breakers attract surfers from all over Europe. To see the sunset dropping into the sea is a memorable & photogenic sight.
Golf
Casa Oleiro is located in the middle of the challenging Parque da Floresta Golf Course (PdF). Golfers - a 40% dicount on green fees and reserved starting times. The course, designed by well known Spanish golf architect Pepe Gancedo, PdF opened in 1987. Many changes and improvements have been made and PdF is now a course to suit all levels of golfer. Situated in gently rolling hills the views of the coast and the Monchique mountains are superb. Driving range and golf academy with a resident teaching professional. Penina - Henry Cotton's masterpiece and the most popular course for the Portuguese Open is approx. 30 minutes drive. Palmares - designed by Frank Pennick and one of the prettiest couses on the Algarve, with many spectacular views over the Bay of Lagos. 25 minutes from PdF. Boavista - one of the Algarve's newest courses,but quickly achieving an enviable reputation. 6 miles from PdF. Morgado do Reguengo - Morgado 1 is unique in the Algarve, with a rolling parland style.
Travel
Faro International Airport is 100 kms (62 miles)via the A 22 Motorway to Lagos - approx 1 1/4 hours drive.
Car Hire strongly recommended to enjoy the area to the full.
Distances
Budens - just below the 8th hole is a 4 minute drive, the unspoilt fishing village of Salema is 5 minutes away.
The historic town of Lagos is 16 kms as is Cape St Vincent, the most westerly point in Europe.
Sagres with its fishing port and ancient fortress, home to Henry the Navigator is 12 kms to the west.
Further details
Shopping - there is an Intermarche in Budens (24 hr Petrol) for all family needs and a bakery in the village. The open-air markets with their colourful sweaters, rugs and shoes, together with the local Pottery shops make an enjoyable visit. More sophisticated shops in Lagos and Portimao. At PdF there are 4 floodlit Tennis Courts with a resident LTA professional, two bowling greens and a fully equipped Leisure Centre with heated indoor and outdoor pools. Mountain bikes, Horse Riding and Archery are also available. The Football Academy (Easter, Summer and May and October Half Terms) is very popular. Restaurants - there are so many within 15 minutes drive, it is difficult to choose. Many charco-grill the locally caught sea food and prices reflect that this is still an unspoilt area. About the owner
Our first visit to Portugal was in 1983 when we purchased a large apartment in Salema. A new Golf Course was being discussed and we kept in touch with the MD of the development who like me was a civil engineer. In 1987 another family and ourselves were the first to buy plots at PdF (no name in those days ) long before the golf course was built. When our son Henry was a youngster we spent half terms and Easter holidays in the sunshine enjoying golf when the UK was less hospitable. Henry was encouraged by the members and his golf developed at PdF - all worthwhile since he has just qualified as a full Member of the PGA. We all love the West Algarve - golf, swimming in our heated pool, the coastline, small coves and beaches, and the lovely restaurants - much cheaper than the UK.
