On the edge of the Algarve in a Nature Reserve 3km to wonderful beaches. Vilarinha, a village of only 12 traditional houses is unique and unspoilt. Our house being 1 is situated in a walled garden overlooking fields rivers and hills where all you can hear are cow bells and birds. The perfect location for anybody who wants to get away from it all, but to be within easy reach of 100s of things to do. 3km to Carrapateira which has a shop that sells everything a market, bakeries, cafes, surf shops, a fantastic beach with a lagoon surrounded by sand dunes that never gets crowded. You will find a variety of great restaurants with everything from fresh fish, local specialties, jugs of wine, to pizza. There is also the world famous Amado Beach with 2 fantastic Surfing schools. From Vilarinha its 2 km to Donkey riding, 15 minutes to horse riding or carriage driving, 15 minutes to Golf, tennis, bowls, archery, gym, large swimming pool and health spa. Perfect for walkers, bird watchers & artists.

Notes on accommodation
House has portable fans not ceiling fans. Gardener comes once a week. Phone and fax needs to be requested. Plunge-pool is cleaned weekly. It is not suitable for young children. It can be fenced off and door locked and not used, but this needs to be requested in writing.

Coast/Beach
3 to 4 Km Carrapateira Beach (also known as Bordeira Beach) is a long white sandy beach which has big waves but also a sheltered lagoon in the middle of the sand dunes which is ideal for children. Good fishing off the rocks. Good restaurant, just off the beach. 3km Amado Beach is a long white sandy beach which has a 2 Surfing schools and rustic beach bars. The International Surfing Championships were held there. There are numerous nearby beaches, all very different.
Golf
Parque da Floresta Golf & Leisure resort is 12km. A discount of 30% is offered to renters on presentation of a card that must be requested at time of booking.

Local shop in Carrapateira sells everything. Cash Point in Carrapateira and Restaurants etc. Bank, chemist, lidol, cash point, and supermarket as well as numerous more Restaurants in Vila do Bispo 12 minutes away. Rustic organic Pizza Restaurant in Pethralva 3 km. Local Bar that does local dishes sometimes in Bordeira 3km across tracks or 4.5km by road. (a great walk).
Booking notes
We can accept cheques, bank transfer in both GBP and Euros.
A security/damage deposit of £350.00 will be required to secure a booking. Cleaning costs and linen and towels included in the price. All rates are subject to change. If heating is required on extra charge may be applied. Travel cots can be hired at €30. A surcharge will be applied for bookings of less than 7 nights and for Sunday check in.

Had an incredible holiday one I will remember for years to come, Fantastic location, beautiful and very comfortable house with every thing we needed, loved watching the farmers and cows. We felt we really left the modern hectic life behind and traveled back in time.Going back really refreshed. Just wish we could of stayed longer. The Surfing school was excelent. Our favorite Restaurant was Sito do Forno & the Pizza place in the little village of Pethralva that we dirt tracked to. Thankyou we hope to be back. Anna
