Notes on accommodation
The villa has rustic floor tiles throughout and beautiful double height beamed ceilings and is fully air conditioned throughout. Set in extensive grounds of 18,000m2 there is also a two bedroom cottage suitable for larger parties. The cottage is not rented out separately so guests renting the main villa only are assured of complete privacy.
Accessibility
Villa and Cottage are both single story with no internal steps to bedrooms or bathrooms but there is a step onto the outside Terrace from ground level and then another smaller step into the properties.
Outside
There is a free standing large brick barbecue and plenty of chairs and tables for dining alfresco. The private pool iis surrounded by calçada and has sunloungers with cushions. There are sun umbrellas for extra shade. The houses are set in 18,000m2 of land which include numerous fruit trees and grape vines. The immediate gardens are landscaped with plenty of lawn and flowering shrubs.
Coast/Beach
The famous sandy beach of Meia Praia in Lagos is a is 15 minute drive and is ideal for children (and adults too - great beach bars!). The beach at Luz can be reached in 10 minutes where there are lots of watersports activities available and the fabulous beaches on the west coast a mere 20 minute drive and worth the visit.

Penina Golf course has choice of two 18 hole and a 9 hole course (15 mins)
Boa Vista 18 hole course (10 mins)

Lagos train Staion: 9kms.
Bus Stop 1km.
Distances
Barao de Sao Joao is the nearest village (5 minutes) which has a couple of restaurants.
Lagos is nearest town with marina,supermarkets, banks, shops,restaurants and can be reached in 10 minutes.
There are numerous water slide parks along the coast and the busy marina in Lagos offers a number of boat trips and excursions.

There is a small zoo nearby which provides a great day out for all the family and makes a change from beach days or lazing by the pool!

I am nearing retirement and bought this place with a view to spending more time in Portugal, in this lovely country property and playing golf nearby.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
Being only 10 minutes from Lagos I saw this place as ideal for my retirement but in the meantime ,it's great for holidays with friends and family.The fact that it has a fully fitted guest cottage lends itself to accomadating extra visitors and spreading out.
The clincher for me was when I saw the all the orange and fig trees in such a tranquil setting.
The garden was extended a few years ago and is a now looking fantastic.
Lagos has a nice feel to it and is paradise for anyone who enjoys good food particularly,seafood.
The brick built barbeque is a great option for those who prefer to dine on the patio. Some guests have tended to have cook oputs most nights.
The property is fenced and alarmed.
