The apartment is in the centre of Santa Luzia, a typical Portuguese fishing village. It's about 40 metres from the water's edge in the Ria Formosa Natural Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty with abundant wildlife. The village has many restaurants, food shops, bank, pharmacy, cafes and bars and there is access to beautiful sandy beaches. The apartment has an allocated parking space in the block's private gated car park.

Outside
The living area leads onto a large private sun terrace with loungers, table, chairs and parasol. The kitchen leads onto a smaller breakfast terrace which catches the morning sun.
Coast/Beach
Between June and September a ferry boat runs from Santa Luzia across the lagoon to a beautiful sandy beach. About 1km away, at Pedras d'el Rei, there is a walkway across to the beach of Barril as well as an all year round narrow guage train service to the beach.
Golf
There are many golf courses within easy range, including Benamor, Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima, which are all approximately 10 minutes away. There are many more courses within a 30 minute drive in Portugal and Spain.
Travel
Faro is the closest airport, about 30 minutes away and Seville airport is about 90 minutes away, by car.
Distances
Sanata Luzia has many restaurants, cafes, bars and shopping facilities including a bank and pharmacy within easy walking distance. The ferry jetty is also very close. The historic town of Tavira known as the jewel of the Algarve is 3kms. away and is famous for its many churches and ancient buildings. There are also numerous restaurants, cafes and shops as well as ferries to the beach.
Further details
Tavira and Olhao (20 mins.) both have good fish and produce markets in the mornings which are well worth a visit.
There is a regular bus service to Tavira.
