The village of Salema has several excellent restaurants and bars and for more nightlife Lagos is a 15 minutes taxi ride, approximately 15 euros. There are superb coastal walks. The area is also within a national park. Parque de Floresta is a top quality golfing complex with an amazing course, restaurant and sports facilities, just a 3 minute drive away. Salema is still a working fishing village, unspoilt by development. Come and chill out, relax and enjoy life as it should be in a jewel of a place on the western coast of the Algarve.

Coast/Beach
Salema is a beautiful fishing village on the western side of the Algarve. Set in a national conservation area with a gentle sloping fine golden sanded beach Salema is an ideal holiday location for families and couples. Still unspoilt with friendly locals, excellent restaurant and bars, and yet a short taxi or car ride to Lagos for a more hectic night life. Walkers can also enjoy many coastal paths. For surfing dudes the east coast of Portugal is within easy reach.

Golf
3 minute drive to Parque da Floresta golf course. This 18-hole course is undulating with a wonderful array of flowers and trees. The views are spectacular. It has a short game practise area golf academy, plus 3 putting greens. Enquire about their special rates at the pro shop. The club house has an international restaurant and bar overlooking the 18th hole, it also has a health fitness beauty spa and tennis courts.

Travel
Nearest airport Faro, approximately 80kms, car hire recommended. Trains from Faro to Lagos then a 15 minute taxi ride. Local buses to various locations, including Sagres, Burgau, Lagos etc.
