On the 1st floor are 2 en-suite bedrooms with balconies to capture the panoramic sea views and fantastic sunsets. Downstairs are 2 further bedrooms, a bathroom, lounge, large kitchen/dining area. It has a boules court and a south-facing well furnished terrace with private swimming pool and bbq. Located just 5 km from the beautiful beaches and breathtaking landscapes of Monte Clerigo and Arrifana, also famous for its surfing; 8 kilometres from the picturesque market town of Aljezur with its castle, museums, shops, post office, banks, bars, restaurants and old fashioned food market. The nearest supermarket and restaurant/café is 2 kilometres. Tennis, walking, bird watching, fishing, horse riding, golf and surfing all within easy access. The large town of Lagos with its marina and many other attractions is 30 km away.

Notes on accommodation
The property is double-glazed throughout and in every room there are central heating radiators, heated from a gas boiler in the utility room in the winter months.
The pool is not heated and will be covered and not available for use between the end of October to start of April unless requested.
Smoking is not permitted in the property.
Outside
The property has gardens on all sides.
There is a private drive with parking for 3 cars. To the side of the drive is an area for petanque/boules.
In the rear garden there is a south facing tiled terrace with 9m x 3.8m non-heated swimming pool (non-chlorine, disinfected by electrolysis of salted water). The private pool is for the sole use of houseguests. There are 8 sun beds, 8 chairs and 3 side tables, plus large patio dining table and 2 parasols. A BBQ is also provided with side sink unit.
There are fantastic panoramic views of the sea and horizon from the first floor front balconies.
Coast/Beach
The cliffs are about 600 metres away and there is a beach below them but access is not easy. The nearest accessible beaches are about a 5 minute drive. To the north is Monte Clerigo, a very wide sandy beach, and to the south is Arrifana with it spectacular cliffs, small harbour and fishing vessels. Both beaches have lifeguards during the summer period and the villages have restaurants and bars. There are many other fantastic beaches eg. Amoreira, Carriagem and Bordeira slightly further away.
Golf
The Boavista and Palmares golf courses are about a ½ hour drive and Parque da Floresta, Penina and Alto Club are not much further.
Travel
The nearest airport is Faro. It takes one hour thirty minutes by car, mainly along a motorway. Car hire is essential but taxis can be arranged for about 80 euros each way.
Distances
The seaside villages of Arrifana and Monte Clerigo are about 5 kms. It is 8 kms to the picturesque market town of Aljezur (known for its goose barnacle and sweet potato festival) with its castle, museums and old fashioned food market. It is 30 kms to the town of Monchique, famous for its spa, sausages, cured ham and its surrounding mountain range. It is also about 30 kms to the large town of Lagos with its marina, palm tree lined promenade, large selection of shops and restaurants.

The nearest shop and restaurant/café are 2 kms in Vale da Telha. Restaurants serving local fish can be found 5 kms away in Arrifana, Monte Clerigo and Vales, where there is also a cash machine. It is 8 kilometres to Aljezur with its local supermarkets, shops, post office, banks, sports centre, cafes, bars, restaurants and old fashioned food market.
The nearby beaches are known for their surfing and Arrifana has the reputation of being the most versatile surfing spot in the South of Portugal.
There is also a site of archaeological interest on the cliff top near Casa Horizonte and near Arrifana.
Tennis, walking, bird watching, fishing and horse riding are all to be found in Vale da Telha.
