Lovely garden surrounds the villa. The 10x5m pool is for sole use, heated (Free) mid March to end of October, with lovely pool terrace and BBQ. Fully equipped with table, chairs and loungers. The large pergola is bamboo covered providing deep shade in hotter months. Extra range of melamine crockery for use in garden as required. Large grassy area for children to safely play. Double garage which now has table tennis/darts. Boules in garden. Fun for everyone. Plenty of off road parking.
Coast/Beach
Fuseta with its wonderful lagoon beach is only 5-6m away with boats to wonderful unspoilt beach islands. There are boats from Olhao, Cabanas and Tavira which take you to wonderful island beaches. Tavira beach island has been voted 4th best beach in Europe! (Telegraph June 2005). The bigger, noisier Central Algarve beaches, water parks, go karting etc attractions are only 30 mins away, if that is your wish. Then you can return to the peace and tranquillity of the villa! bliss!
Golf
An opportunity to try some of the best golf courses in the Algarve. There is a 9 hole par 3 just 10 minutes away in Moncarapacho. Within 15-20 minutes there is the championship Quinta da Cima, also Benamor, Quinta da Ria and Castro Marim. The superb Monte Rei course, regarded as the finest in the Algarve, is within 20 plus minutes. Across the border only 20 minutes away into Spain are numerous high class courses in Ayamonte.
Travel
Car hire essential to enjoy the villa and the area.
Faro airport is approx 20 - 25 mins drive away via fast roads.
Seville airport is approx 1 hour 45 mins away and there are no problems taking hired cars out of Spain into Portugal. Low cost flights can be achieved via Iberia.
Distances
Within easy distance are Tavira (regarded as the loveliest town in the Algarve), Estoi (with its Rococo palace and Roman ruins), Olhao (fishing port), Fresh fruit, veg and fish markets, wonderful restaurants and of course Faro with its fine shopping malls. The nearby Ria Formosa National Park offers excellent walks, extensive beaches and birdwatching.
Further details
The small town of Moncarapacho is approx 3/4kms away with supermarkets, bars, restaurants, petrol station, internet cafe, cash machines, pharmacy, dentist, bank, post office etc.
There is a bar/bistro restaurant approximately 850m from the villa - 3 mins drive but can be walked in approx 14/15 mins in day time. Wonderful lunches at 6 euros and you will find it difficult to spend 12 euros per person per night including your drinks!
Come and enjoy many aspects of the unspoilt Eastern Algarve. Fish, meat, beers and wine are plentiful and low cost.
