Casa Tranquila has recently been renovated to very high quality standards. The house is on a south-facing slope with distant sea views. It is fully equipped and ideal for a peaceful holiday yet remaining convenient for all amenities, shopping, etc. It is about 5 km. from the new Oceanico Amendoeira golf courses and also convenient for courses at Silves, Morgado, Pinta and Gramacho.

There are internal steps which would be difficult for wheelchair users but OK for the ambulant disabled.

Outside

The swimming pool (5x10m) is surrounded by a large terrace. Direct access from the lounge and bedrooms 1 and 2 and from outside through a gate. It has a covered area providing shade and a barbecue. There is also a shower. Plenty of sunbeds. Lots of parking space.

Coast/Beach

Drive time 10-15 minutes to Praia Grande, Castello, Gale and Armacao beaches.

Golf

Golf courses at Amendoeira and Silves 10 minutes drive.
Pinta, Gramacho and Morgado about 20-25 minutes drive.
Vilamoura 30 minutes.

Special interest holidays

Silves is the former Moorish capital of the Algarve where the red sandstone castle has recently been restored together with a number of other significant historical buildings. The European renowned wildlife site at Armacao de Pera (behind Praia Grande) is about 20 minutes drive.

Travel

Faro airport is at an approx 40 minutes drive.

Distances

Silves with its historical castle and monuments, several excellent restaurants, and good supermarkets at a 12 mins drive. Messines, a busy market town with some typical restaurants at a driving distance of 10 mins.

Mum, Dad and the Boy!

About the owner
We have visited the Algarve since 1981 and owned since 1987. As the children grew up we decided to get away from the coast and bought Tranquila in 2002. Since then we have extended and modernised the accommodation, renewing bathrooms, installing air conditioning and laying out the garden, which now has automatic watering. Plans for the future (post recession?) are to heat the pool. Tranquila is very much our second home and we visit 4 or 5 times a year; as such it probably has more facilities than a standard 'holiday home' but the level of repeat bookings is, perhaps, testament to the these factors.

Why the owner chose a villa in this location
Peace and tranquility, whilst convenient for nearby towns, the coast and Golf Courses. It also enjoys stupendous 180 degree views.

Unique benefits of the property
Some good Golf courses inc Faldo, O'Connor, Silves, Pinta, Gramacho and Morgado. Secluded, walled pool area and terrace with barbecue. Convenient for country walks.
