Changeover day
In the high season our preferred changover day is Saturday, this is flexible in the low season.
Arrival times are after 4pm (these can be changed by prior agreement).
Departure times are 10am (these can be changed by prior agreement).

Accessibility
Wheelchair access is good into the property - over one to two steps into hallway - location of downstairs bathroom is ideal for wheelchair users, plus use of sofa double bed. Access without steps via patio door to pool terrace.
Outside
Private (non chlorine, salt water filtered) 20ft x 11.5ft pool with terrace area and shade at rear of property with ample seating for dining al-fresco.
Large paved area to front of property with seating area.
Barbeque provided.
Coast/Beach
Praia De Grande beach (within walking distance) is sandy, clean, uncrowded and safe. Beach activities include pedalo's, sunbathing, volleyball and sailing.
There are several other smaller and equally uncrowded sandy coves within 5km from the villa.
Golf
Two 18 hole Championship courses (Gramachio and Pinta) based at Pestano Golf Complex 2500 metres from villa plus Leadbetter Golf Academy and driving range. Both courses boast a truly Algarve rolling landscape with Olive, Carob and Almond trees decorating the fairways and fast undulasting greens. Gramachio was home in 2005 to Portugal ladies open, Pinta is a European Seniors championship qualifier. The close proximity of the courses enable cheap (25 euro) rounds to be played after 4 pm.
Penina Golf Resort (Home of the Portugese Open) is 10 km from villa and beautiful Morgado is 25km from villa.
Travel
Faro Airport is 45 - 50 minutes away, car hire or use of car is recommended. Connecting route is via main A22 (Algarve highway). Airport connections via taxi and mini bus are available and straight forward.
Distances
Ferragudo village with its small harbour, town square and safe large sandy beach is within walking distance, Carvoireo, Lagoa and Portimao are approx 5 km. distance.
Albuferia and Silves are 25 - 30 km distance. Vilamoura is 35 - 40 km distance.
Further details
Ferragudo is one of the most scenic and charming places in the Algarve, life runs slowly in this small harbour village.
At noon the locals gather for grilled sardines in one of the cafe's in the square. Served by a town bank and several excellent reasonably priced restaurants (plus a large Le Clerc supermarket in nearby Portimao) the village has all amenities necessary for the holidaymaker.

25% deposit is required.
Payment in full 21 days before arrival date.
Damage deposit is payable on arrival and refunded / cancelled on departure at end of stay audit.

We fell in love with Portugal several years ago and we are glad that we have returned to Ferragudo. Your efforts for the children were greatly appreciated and they had a brilliant time.
Hamilton Family: 07/07. All the family enjoyed the holiday immensely, we are back at work and would quite happily get back on the plane and return to Ferragudo for a month! The younger children spent hours in the pool and are adamant that they will be returning next year!
