The house enjoys wonderful panoramic views and is very private. To the south is an uninterrupted view of Faro and the Atlantic, to the north the market town of Sao Bras and the Calderao hills. The small town of Estoi is 2 km away and it is only a 20 minute drive to the Airport. The large barbecue area gives plenty of shade and the 10 x 5m pool is surrounded by a spacious terrace, a great vantage point to watch the sunset and has sun all day long. Binoculars are recommended for the 360 degree view.

Changeover day
Thursday change over day. Departure time 10am. Arrival time 2pm. However, for early arrivals arrangements can easily be made to leave the bags at the house. On some Thursdays it may be possible to arrive earlier.

Beautiful 10 x 5m mosaic swimming pool with underwater floodlighting for night swimming. The pool is 1 meter in the shallow end and 2 meters in the deep end. Outside covered dining area with a large barbecue, overlooking the spacious pool terrace. Outdoor shower area. 6 loungers with covers. A table in the BBQ with chairs for 6 but can take 10. Table on the terrace for 6.
Coast/Beach
Pedras del Rei and Faro Island are the closest beaches. Both 20 minutes drive. The unspoilt islands off Olhao and Faro, with vast expanses of golden sand, are reached by regular ferry boats. 15 minutes to Olhao.
Golf
For golf enthusiasts, there are numerous golf courses in the area including Benamor and Quinta da Ria courses near Tavira, a 20 minute drive.
Travel
20 minutes to Faro airport. 40 minutes to Spain. Car hire is recommended.
Distances
Estoi, famous for the Palacio of Estoi and the Roman ruins of Milreu, is a 5 minute drive.There are 2 banks, plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants.
Faro, Loule, Olhao and Sao Bras are all within 10/30 minutes drive. All are market towns with plenty of shops, restaurants, banks, museums etc.
The village of Azinherio is less than 2km, a 20 minute walk and has a shop and cafe.
Further details
Cume da Montanha (Top of the Hill) is 1.000 feet above sea level, commanding fantastic views. The house is completely private and tranquil. The access is off a tarmac lane onto a compacted sandstone track. Plenty of turning/parking area by the house. There are 4 steps from the car port yard to the terrace surrounding the house. Only one step into the house. There is a covered double car port for guests. The house is walled, fenced and gated. For walkers May is a lovely month for the wild flowers. There are many walks straight from the house along tracks. Binoculars would be very useful to observe the comings and goings of the 360 degree view! The pool terrace is very spacious and there is another big terrace looking over the garden. The owner has lived near Estoi for 19 years. There is always tea, coffee, milk etc in the house for your arrival and a warm welcome.
Booking notes
Confirm your holiday dates by phone or email. Once the dates are confirmed a booking form is sent. A deposit of 25% is required on booking and the balance 8 weeks prior to arrival. Please refer to the calender for your own convenience and note Thursday to Thursurday is preferred.The house is licensed. Alojamento Local by the Camera Municipal de Faro.

We had a totally relaxing, away from it all holiday in this superb villa perched high on a hill with wonderful panoramic views to the coast and surrounding countryside. The spacious villa is extremely well equipped and furnished with a really homely feel and opens out onto a beautiful pool and sundeck.We enjoyed some great BBQs next to the floodlit pool watching the sun go down over the hills. Thank you for a great stay we highly recommend this villa to one and all.
