The detached Chalet is set in its own beautiful gardens, a place to relax and be stress free. In the summer the chalet is cool with air conditioning, sitting on the veranda looking across a vineyard and the surrounding countryside, you can just relax and unwind. In the winter it is warm and cosy with heating at a press of a button. The chalet is set in its own large garden. It is great for birdwatchers (maps of bird reserves), and ramblers with old listed walks only 500 mts away plus horse riding near by. Situated on the outskirts of Sao Bras, in the small hamlet of Mesquita, only 20 mins drive from Faro airport and the same distance from beautiful unspoilt beaches, golf courses and lawn bowling. For those who like eating out we have a list of many very good restaurants choosen for specialities and very reasonable.

Outside
Large veranda with views across the countryside to the south with plunge pool, tables and chairs, sun beds, barbecue and your own large private garden. You have your own entrance and car-parking space. If you wish to be away from the tourist areas and in the real Portugal, then this is the place for you.
Coast/Beach
There are lovely unspoilt beaches some are reached by ferries to small Islands from Fuseta and Tavira plus the usual mainland beaches. There is also a nature reserve here on the Rio Formosa.
Golf
Three 18 hole and 1 9 hole courses. One only 15 mins away and 3 more with 25 mins drive. The rest of the other golf courses are easy reached by motorway to the western Algarve or Spain only 45 mins away.
Special interest holidays
For those keen on birdwatching, 136 different types of birds have been seen in this area by one client, 26 of which were actually seen from or in the garden. We have a map at the chalet showing where the reserves are. Horse Riding close by. Tennis courts for hire in Sao Bras. There is also Lawn Bowling within ten minutes drive.
Travel
Faro Airport is only 20 minutes drive, approximately 15 kms. We recommend you have a car to fully enjoy your holiday and we have arrangements with a good company who will meet you at Faro Airport with the car, so there is no extra travelling to pick it up. Please ask us for prices.

Further details
Set on the outskirts of the small hamlet of Mesquita, a short distance from Sao Bras. Mesquita itself is a quiet and typical Portuguese countryside setting. Great for birdwatchers and other country pursuits. Within 1km is a good supermarket for all your needs. Sao Bras has many good, reasonably priced restaurants (3 course meal plus wine £6 to £8 for example), cafes, chemist, museum,banks, theatre, gallery and shops of all types. A short 20 mins drive away is Tavira with golf courses, lawn bowling and beaches. The city of Faro is another short drive with far too much to mention, being the capital of the Algarve. You are only 40 mins drive away from Spain but you do require extra car insurance cover which is about 40 euros.
Booking notes
A 30% deposit is required on booking and the remaining balance is due 6 weeks prior to departure. To book within 6 weeks of departure the rental must be paid in full.
