Outside
The upstairs balcony at the front of the property has a table and chairs, and the view across the 17th green with its lakes and fountains is stunning - a great place to relax with a bottle of wine. The upstairs balcony at the rear also has table and chairs and looks across the 2nd tee. At the rear downstairs there is a private garden and a further patio with sun loungers, a gas barbecue and a six seater table to enjoy that alfresco meal!

Coast/Beach
There are some excellent beaches in the area including Praia da Luz and Meia Praia which are both roughly 5 minutes drive away. The spectacular coastline at Cape St Vincent (the most south-westerly point of mainland Europe)is well worth a drive to with its lighthouse and stunning coastal views. There are also the remains of a fortress at Sagres to see, which provides some wonderful views and photo opportunities. You can even visit Sir Cliff Richard's vineyard at Guia and sample his wine!

Golf
Boavista is an excellent and challenging course and there is also a driving range and putting area. Guests are able to obtain 25% discount on green fees. There are several other courses within easy driving distance including Penina and Parque da Floresta.

Travel
Faro airport is a 45 - 50 minute drive and many airlines fly on a daily basis into Faro. Car hire is recommended. Lisbon and Seville airports are both around a 3 hour drive away.

Distances
There is a large, well stocked supermarket less than 5 minutes drive away, and the historic town of Lagos with its old cobbled streets and beautiful marina is a similar distance. There are some excellent restaurants to suit all tastes to be found in Lagos both in the old town and also at the marina.There is also a wide choice of cafes/bars. Boat trips can also be taken from the marina with opportunities to see dolphins and seals. There are also some fascinating shops to be found in the area.

Further details
There is a large communal outdoor swimming pool with a separate children's paddling pool and sun loungers and umbrellas are provided. There are also tennis courts and a children's play area, and a soccer school for boys and girls aged between 4 and 16. This is run by ex professional footballer Mark McCarrick who played for both Birmingham City and West Brom. The clubhouse bar is open to all guests, as is the restaurant which has an excellent menu for lunch and dinner, and guests can obtain 10% discount on all meals. New for 2008 is the brand new state of the art leisure complex including a large indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna and a fully equipped gymnasium. There is also a health and beauty spa offering a variety of treatments. A very well stocked golf shop is also on site where a 10% discount can be obtained on all purchases. There is also a new gourmet restaurant/coffee lounge on site - Monte's - which serves a wide choice of the worlds finest coffees.
