A luxurious and comfortable townhouse furnished to a high standard on the new development Vila dos Principes within the prestigious golf resort Praia d'el Rey. The property overlooks the magnificent 8th green, the course's signature hole. The house has gas central heating plus humidifiers, with a swimming pool close by for exclusive use of guests at Vila dos Principes. Many watersports are available at nearby Baleal & Peniche plus boat trips to the Berlenga Islands. Horse riding is also available nearby.

Bedlinen, house towels and beach towels are provided. Weekly laundry change and cleaning for stays of 2 or more weeks included in price. Complimentary welcome food pack.

 

Notes on accommodation
There is gas central heating plus humidifier. Insect screens fitted to windows and doors. Prices include gas and electricity, but where consumption is more than normal for the season, clients will be asked to pay the difference. Cot and high chair available on request (small extra cost).

Outside
There are well stocked and tended gardens around the property, with a shared heated (Apr-Oct) swimming pool plus toddlers pool very close by. There are 2 further swimming pools on the development which guests can use. The patio has chairs, table and built in barbecue.

Coast/Beach
The coast at Praia d'el Rey is a magnificent stretch of sandy beach which is rarely crowded. There is a life guard in the summer months, this area being a few minutes drive from the property, with plenty of free car parking. The famous Obidos lagoon is approx. 15 minute drive with beautiful sandy beaches, bars & restaurants.

Golf
The golf course is an award winning championship course and rated as European Golf Resort of the Year 2007 (IAGTO). It is of rich variety providing a challenge to the high handicapped as well as the advanced player. It is set in extensive pine forest and undulating dunes, offering the challenges of both links & inland courses. Discounted golf green fees prices can be arranged. There are also several other 18 hole golf courses within approx 1 hours drive of Praia d'el Rey. The clubhouse also has an indoor games room and the Aventura activity club for children (extra cost).

Distances
Praia d'el Rey is an easy drive from Lisbon airport of less than 1 hour on the A8 motorway. The drive from Faro is about 3 hours, and about 2 hours from Porto. Car hire is essential. Details as to car hire can be provided if required. The medieval walled town of Obidos is a 15 mins drive, Peniche approx 20 mins; Caldas da Rainha is about 20 mins drive.

Further details
There is a convenience store on the resort and small supermarket at nearby Serra d'el Rei, with large supermarkets, banks etc at Peniche. A new well stocked supermarket has opened at Obidos with 2 hypermarkets at Caldas da Rainha. The clubhouse has a restaurant as does the 5 Star Marriott Hotel. Bar meals & snacks also available at the clubhouse.There are numerous other restaurants close by offering excellent local cuisine at reasonable cost.

Our property is managed by English speaking personnel who will be available to assist you at any time during your stay.
There are tennis courts on the complex and lessons/coaching can be arranged. Football and basketball also available The Marriott Hotel offers other indoor leisure facilities as well as a health spa and kids club (these facilites are not included in rental price).

Some children's beach items are provided in the house for guests use - e.g. surf boards, beach balls, buckets & spades.

There are a few board games, playing cards & books for guests use, plus tennis racquets & balls.
Play Station 2 for guests to use provided.

We have also added a Dunlop 16 piece golf set for guests use which includes bag and umbrella. Further information about golf available on request.

Booking notes
A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance to be paid 6 weeks before arrival, together with a security deposit of £150. Security deposit returned after vacating, assuming there are no damages.
