Our three comfortable and clean apartments are located in the picturesque fishing village of Carrapateira. Each is beautifully decorated and has all modern home comforts. Our smaller apartment (Croyde) sleeps two people and two large apartments each sleeps 2 - 4 people. All three apartments can be opened up for large bookings. The beach and lagoon of Carrapateira can be seen from all three apartments, the courtyard and roof terrace. The beach and village centre, with a local store, surf shops, bakery, cafes, bars and restaurants are only a short walk away. The apartments are ideal for all kinds of holiday, whether you want a family break, romantic getway, peaceful retreat or even an action packed adventure. Each apartment has its own outside sitting area for BBQ and relaxing. The apartments are ideally located next to two top class surf breaks: Praia de Bordeira, (Carrapateira) and Praia do Amado. Board storage, wetsuit drying and surf forecast are also available.

Notes on accommodation
Ocean View Apartments are located in the picturesque fishing village of Carrapateira on the Western Algarve Coast. The self-catering apartments are nestled into the hillside overlooking the beautiful Carrapateira beach and its green hills dotted with farmland animals and their shepherds. Carrapateira is within the Costa Vicentina. National Park which comprises thousands of acres of protected lands that are perfect for hiking, biking, surfing, kite surfing, bodyboarding, bird-watching, fishing and relaxing.
The apartments are ideal for all kinds of holiday, whether you want a family break, romantic getaway, peaceful retreat or even an action packed adventure.
Accessibility
We are located on the very edge of the village, whilst just 3 minutes from the village center.
Our cobbled road is small no-through-road and is very quiet and safe for children. We also have gates allowing for extra security for young children in the courtyard.
Outside
The apartments have a shared courtyard which has seating areas for eating, relaxing and sun bathing. A BBQ and pool table are also available. Many different flowers can be found throughout the well tended courtyard.
There is also a fantastic roof terrace providing unbeataable views across the sand dunes and beach and out to sea. It also provides views of the hills around the village.
Coast/Beach
The beach of Carrapateira is only a short walk away (1km) from the apartments. However, if you do want to drive parking is available. The beach is huge and never gets crowded. It's a wonderful coastline to beachcomb and surf. Watch the local fishermen catch fish from the top of the cliffs - an amazing sight.
Golf
Parque da Floresta Golf is a 20 minute drive from the apartments. Lovers of golf will be enthralled by the challenging 18-hole par 72 course which winds its way magically through the resort. Refine your swing and other techniques at the Golf Academy, which boasts a state-of-the-art interactive video system.
Special interest holidays
The apartments are located next to two top class surf breaks, Praia do Amado & Praia Bordeira (Carrapateira).
We are both keen surfers and can help your surfing holiday be a success by providing daily surf forcasts and advice on the best breaks of the day.
A number of surf schools are located in the village, ideal if you are a beginner or if you want to brush up on your technique.
Travel
Car hire is recommended if you want to see all the wonderful sights the Western Algarve has to offer. Faro airport is located 109kms from the apartment and is just a 1 hour 15 minutes drive. The fishing village of Aljezur is a 10 minute drive and the historic town of Lagos is a 20 minute drive.
Further details
The village of Carrapateira has a village centre, with a local store, daily fresh food market, surf shops, cafes, bars, bakery, restaurants and small church. All these are only a very short walk from the apartments.
