Notes on accommodation
Monte Albano 1 and 2 were recently built upon the ruins of an old estate.
In the garage of Villa Monte Albano a mini apartment is built as an adjoining annex, complete with 2nd bathroom and small living/kitchen.
Solar panels (14) provide abundant but theoretically limited power - in summer 24hrs, in winter 9-12 hrs. In summer month you can run the laundry machine in daytime without jeopardizing television/dvd after sunset.
Important note: to ensure privacy, only one part of the villa (1 or 2) will be rented in the same period.
Accessibility
Not recommended to wheelchair users.
Pets welcome.
Outside
Villa Monte Albano - Lawn and large private terrace, barbeque, plungepool (private). The plungepool is suitable for bathing, not for swimming. It offers a cool place to relax and splash in the summer.
Large lawn (200 sq.m.) provides space for golf practise (light balls), Tai-Chi and Yoga.
Coast/Beach
West beaches: 25 min by car. South beaches: 18 min by car
Large dam and lake Barragem de Bravura (canoeing only) 8 min by car, within walking distance. Ideal for lakeshore picnics.
West beaches (Carrapateira, surfers paradise) are large and deserted.
South beaches: sea can be calm like a mirror.

Golf
3 championship courses within 18 min drive. Parque do Floresta (Budens). Boavista (Lagos). Palmares (Meia Praia) accept players without restrictions. Golf handicap certificate not necessary. No jeans etc. Bookings: see the websites (type the above names in search engine).
Special interest holidays
2 sit-on-top canoes (Rotomod, France) are available for surf-riding, or for canoeing on the large lake Barragem de Bravura (8 min). Bring roof rack. Deposit asked.

Faro airport 50 min.
Only 10 min from access to A22 motorway to Lagos, Portimao, Silves, Monchique thermal resort
Distances
Local supermercado and bank: 10 min. Lagos 4 large supermercado's 18 min.
