Notes on accommodation
The Algarve has a wonderful climate with plenty of sunshine and daily temperatures that do not usually drop below 60F(16C) in the winter or go above 90F(32C) in the summer. It is popular for golf, waterskiing, waterslide parks, windsurfing, sailing, tennis and horse riding. The Algarve is on the Atlantic coast which provides lovely cooling breezes which can be far less stifling than Mediterranean resorts.
The Algarve is much more than a summer resort, because it offers unique holiday qualities in the spring and autumn months. From Almond blossom time in January to the end of March, visitors will find the climate warmer than at home and ideal for many activities.
There is plenty of sunshine in these months, but without the intensity of midsummer, and the air temperatures are ideal for walking, touring etc.. Some rain can be expected, but the result is a greener terrain than in neighbouring Spain. It is also a time when many would say the countryside is at its best with wonderful.
Accessibility
The ground floor two bedroom apartments are accessible by wheel chairs but there are several single shallow steps where assistance would most probably be required.
Outside
Large swimming pool with childrens section.
The two bedroom apartments have a private garden area leading to the pool.
All apartments have south facing terraces and a BBQ.
Coast/Beach
15 minutes by car from sandy beaches.
Water Parks and Zoo Marinme (swim with dophins) all within easy reach for a fun family day out.
Golf
The Algarve is now Europe's most popular golfing destination. There are 32 spectacular courses along the coast, five of which are just a 15 to 20 minute drive from Villa feliz. Please ask for our 'preferential golfing rates' or further information.

Excellent for walking holidays, bird watching etc.
Travel
Villa Feliz is only 30 minutes from Faro Airport and is only 5 minutes from a motorway connection for easy access to all locations ie locally and Lisbon, Seville etc.
Distances
5 minutes by car from the centre of a typical Portuguese market town (Messines). Only 2 minutes walk from a local general shop/bar

my wife and I have stayed at Villa Feliz on numerous occassions,I work abroad a lot (middle east) and find portella de messines a relaxing friendly area, the villa is set away from the small village shop and bar (a two minute walk down a tranqil lane with the scent of orange lemon blossom and the local bird life for company) the villa/ apartment is well kept and cleaned to a very high standard, the locals are a welcoming friendly people ,who love to talk and practice english( especially the kids) in Messines the supermarkets are well stocked and price are cheaper than in Faro, and Alberfuria, as are the bars. There are 4 well appointed restaraunts within a five minute drive of the property, all are exceptional and the menus are mouthwatering with wild boar /venison steaks and for the veggis, plenty of choice, early spring is a great time to see almond blossoms like snow on the landscape, and summer is fantastic not too hot. Overall a great place.
