Faro Airport with links from many UK airports is just 35 mins by road. Convenient car hire can be arranged for collection from Faro Airport. Alternatively you can be met at the airport. Taxis can be arranged from Albufeira and a local bus service runs nearby. Lisbon only a 2hr drive with the new motorway.
Distances
Several beaches are nearby, either the extensive sands of, for instance Gale or the coves of Castello and St Raphael. The popular Albufeira fisherman's beach is just 5 mins drive away. Local attractions for the family include waterparks and Zoo Marine, less than 15 mins by car. Attractive town of Portimao is approx 20 mins drive. Guia is 5 mins drive away and its many restaurants provide excellent value for all tastes. Local bar/restaurant serving local fare 2 mins walk.
