A charming, totally refurbished traditional Portuguese 2 bedroom village house with own private pool and sunbathing terrace, not overlooked. The house has original features such as traditional, brightly coloured tiling, bamboo cane ceilings, old inglenook, brick tile floors and tiny, quaint wooden doors and windows. It is set in an unspoiled village, called Azinhal, famous for its patisserie, which claims the best custard tarts in all Portugal. Cafes, restaurants and a small supermarket are all within easy level walking distance. Stunning sandy beaches and premium golf courses are about only 10-15 mins drive away, as is the bridge to Spain. Nearby Castro Marim has fantastic golf courses and a beautiful nature reserve ideal for walkers and bird watching.

Changeover day
Saturdays are preferred but always negotiable. Villa will be ready by 4pm and should be vacated by 10am.

| Other: | Ante room for meditation/quiet time, double sofa bed and pull out single drawer bed under. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels and bed linen are changed once a week and are supplied. The property will be cleaned once a week, additional cleaning can be arranged at request. |
Notes on accommodation
The pool has a lockable gate to it, for the security of small children. Oil filled storage heaters are available and calor gas stove for winter months.
Outside
Own private salt water swimming pool for exclusive use of guests 4m x 7m, with pool furniture, loungers, sun beds and mattresses. Table and parasol. Lovely sunny patio with nice rural views. New barbecue.
Coast/Beach
15 mins by car to Praia Verde via the motorway and to Monte Gordo, fantastic tourist resorts with miles and miles of sandy beaches and all facilties, car parking, beachside restaurants and bars.
Golf
Excellent golf courses, seven in this area to choose form the best an excellent exclusive choice, only 5 mins away Castro Marim par 72. We would love to make greenfee reservations for you.

Travel
We advise you to rent a car for your stay in Azinhal. Nearest airport Faro, Portugal 90 mins drive. Alternatively, Seville Airport about 2.5 hrs away.
Distances
Castro Marim with original old hill fort is 10 mins away. Villa Real De Santo Antonio is about 15 mins drive and is historically the main border town between Spain and Portugal. The quaint old fashioned town of Tavira, 30 mins drive is set by the river with an old Roman bridge. This is a lovely day out to step back in time and relax in quayside cafes and restaurants serving the best ever sea food. The portuguese Cataplana is highly recommended if you like shellfish.
Further details
A wealth of choice of restaurants in Villa Real is available with lovely waterfront settings, marina on the river Guadiana. Good shopping.
Booking notes
Book through: Karen Robinson. We request a down payment of 30% of the total rental price to make the booking definite, balance payable at least 8 weeks befor arrival. At arrival a 150 euros deposit will be requested. Directions are provided on receipt of final payment. Guests are met at the property on arrival and given the keys.
