An old Algarvian farmhouse recently renovated, Quinta Encantadora is ideally situated for exploring the whole of the Algarve. The house, which is completely private, is set in over 2 acres of citrus orchard in a peaceful, unspoilt area of the Eastern Algarve just outside the village of Moncarapacho, where there is a selection of shops, restaurants, banks and a petrol station. Faro Airport is only 25 mins away and a 35 mins drive eastwards will take you into Spain. There are a number of golf courses and beaches within easy reach.

Changeover day
Knowing that weekday flight prices are often more reasonable, we accept bookings on any day of the week, subject to availability. The house will be normally available from 4pm and should be vacated by 10am, but we try to be as flexible as possible.

Kitchen: Fully fitted with single drainer sink set in granite worktops, gas hob with extractor, electric oven, 2 fridges, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, electric kettle and ample cutlery, crockery, glasses and kitchen utensils. Breakfast area seats 4/6.
Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer, sink, iron and ironing board.
Living Rooms: Colour TV with Sky/Digital, DVD player, Hi-Fi music system, 2 and 3 seater sofas plus armchair and occasional tables around large fireplace. Dining table and chairs to seat six. Double doors leading on to terrace.

Notes on accommodation
All bedrooms have air conditioning and heating units. Cot and high chair available and a welcome pack can be provided on request. Hairdryer available.

Outside
Large terraces surround the house and private pool, which is 10 x 5 metres and is non-chlorinated. Plenty of sun loungers and garden furniture. Shady pergola with dining table, seating 6/10, gas barbecue, table tennis.

Coast/Beach
All the local beaches are within the Ria Formosa nature reserve. Fuzeta 10 mins by car, has the nearest beach, reached by a small regular ferry service from the quayside in mainland Fuzeta, where there is plenty of parking. Several other beaches can be reached by ferry from Olhao, 15 mins drive and Tavira, 20 mins drive.

Golf
A number of courses are within easy reach of the house. To the east:- Benamor - 18 Holes, 20 mins drive. Quinta da Ria - 18 Holes, 25 mins drive. Quinta da Cima - 18 Holes, 25 mins drive. Castro Marim - 18 Holes, 30 mins drive. Colina Verde - 9 holes, 10 mins drive. The courses to the west of Faro, Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo are 30 mins drive and Vilamoura, 40 mins drive.

Travel
The house is situated 4 kms from junction 15 of the A22 Motorway IP1 with Faro Airport approx 25 mins drive, Seville Airport approx 1½ hours’ drive and Lisbon Airport approx 2¼ hours away. A car is essential at this property.

Distances
Quinta Encantadora is ideally situated for exploring the whole of the Algarve. The nearest village, Moncarapacho, 5 mins by car offers a variety of shops including a fairly large supermarket 1km, which is open every day from 8.30am to 8pm as well as two or three smaller minimarkets. There are also banks, a post office, a pharmacy, a petrol station, an internet cafe and some excellent and very reasonably priced restaurants. Two tennis courts within 10 mins of the house are available for hire.

Further details
Olhao (15 mins) a large fishing port to the east and Tavira (20 mins) an attractive historic town to the west, are both well worth a visit for their larger selection of shops, banks, markets and excellent restaurants where you will find locally caught fresh fish served daily. The capital of the Algarve, Faro, has a large shopping mall and a number of very large supermarkets. Here you will also find a very attractive pedestrianised shopping area close to the Marina, where there are many smaller stylish boutiques and restaurants. A visit across the border to Spain approx 35 mins drive, will provide a complete change of culture. The two closest towns Ayamonte and Lepe and their beaches, are both worth a visit as is Seville, which is only 1½ hours away.

What a wonderful time we had at Quinta Encantadora. From our first glimpse of the house from the driveway to the last sad farewell, we could not have asked for a better place to stay. If it was a hotel it would have been 5 star! We would love to visit again in the future.
We had a really great time at Quinta Encantadora, it was everything we had hoped for and more. We especially like the way that you have put all those little finishing touches into the property that make it feel like a home rather than a holiday let.
It was nice to stay somewhere which has everything you would need. It felt more like home than a holiday property. It was particularly well equipped in the kitchen and not having to pack beach towels was a bonus.
You have a lovely property and we wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to family and friends, we really enjoyed our stay, just disappointed that two weeks flew by so quickly.
