Casa Mariposa is no ordinary Bed and Breakfast! This fantastic villa with it's sprawling grounds has four stylishly decorated en-suite bedrooms, one of which has a terrace with wonderful sea views to the Atlantic over the tennis court and swimming pool. The hosts offer sumptuous breakfasts included in the price. The luxurious lounge is specifically for guests, and has wood-beamed ceilings and a central feature of a large open fireplace, where in winter, logs are burned for heating comfort. The swimming pool is huge at 14 x 7 metres and the patio surrounding it is very spacious with sun beds for all guests. At one end of the pool terrace there is a 'convenience' building where guests can prepare snacks and take drinks from the fridge. At the other end, a permanent tiled seating area in the sun and a well managed garden with palm trees and colourful border foliage. Casa Mariposa has everything you could wish for. Style, comfort and a very central location (5 mins walk to the town).

Rates above are per room, per day. No distinction between either 1 or 2 persons staying in each room.
It may be possible for a 3rd bed (Z style) to be placed in a room for a small additional cost. Please enquire for details.
Changeover day
There is no specific changeover day, and any number of days can be booked subject to availability.
Notes on accommodation
All rooms have ceiling fans. There is a no smoking policy inside the building but it is permitted on the porch/patio and outside areas, including the pool.
Children above the age of 8 are welcome from mid June to end of August. For the remainder of the year, the minimum age is 14.
Outside
The tennis court is free of charge for any guests wishing to play tennis. At one end of the swimming pool, there is a convenience facility where there is a food preparation facility for those wishing to make a snack. There is also a shower and WC for those guests who have an awkward late flight so they can be fresh for their journey home. We wish to look after our guests at all times, even after vacating their rooms and they are welcome to continue using the villa's facilities until departure time. In the porch area, there is a BBQ for guests use. We merely ask for a euro for the gas/charcoal used, in the honesty box.
Coast/Beach
Three beautiful beaches are within walking distance from Casa Mariposa and there are several more within 10/15 minutes drive. Centeanes and Carvoeiro beaches are within 10 minutes walk. Praia da Marinha, Carvalho and Albandeira beaches are within 15 mins drive.
Golf
Pinta, Gramacho, Alto Club, Salgados and Penina Golf courses are all within approx 20 mins drive of Casa Mariposa. Vale do Milho, a scenic well designed 9 hole course, is 5 mins drive away.

Sub aqua courses/diving excursions are available nearby.
Travel
The nearest airport is Faro Airport, 60km from Carvoeiro. A rental car is not necessary to do the proximity of Mariposa to the town. (6/7 mins walk). Airport transfers are easily arranged.

Further details
Carvoeiro Town is full of gourmet restaurants, catering for every taste. There are Italian, Indian, Thai, French, Chinese, Spanish and of course Portuguese cuisines on offer. There are also a multitude of excellent bars in which to quench one's thirst.
Booking notes
25% deposit is required to seal the booking. The balance will be due 2 calendar months prior to holiday start. A discount may be offered to bookings made for all 4 rooms for periods over 14 days.
