The beach apartment Praia Lota lies in a cul-de-sac, quietly and close to the sea between Manta Rota and Monte Gordo, about 50km from Faro airport, 15km from Tavira and 10km from the Spanish border. The apartment offers excellent moments of peace and tranquility located in a privileged area, only 200m from the beach. The apartment has a fireplace for the cooler. Nearby you will find all amenities, like shop, restaurant, café, even an internet station and a four star hotel complex. You can enjoy the stunning Golf courses of Quinta da Ria, Quinta da Cima, Monte Rei and Quinta do Vale, just 7 km away, you can have a stroll in nearby Monte Gordo or visit the fine looking Marina of Vila Real de Santo Antonio by the river Guadiana

Changeover day
Changeover day is preferably the Saturday but other arrangements can be made upon request. Arrival time is 3pm and departure time is 10am.

| Kitchen: | The very spaciuos kitchen includes the main kitchen equipment, eg cooker (gas and electric, hob fridge, freezer, washing machine, microwave, coffee machine, juicer, iron, vacuum cleaner etc.and a heater. It has also a table and seatings for 4 people. |
| Utility Room: | The apartment has two large built in cupboards in which you can store all your belongings quite comfortably. |
| Living Rooms: | The living room with sea view has a wood burning fireplace,a heater, a Satellite Television, DVD Player and CD/Radio player, 2 sofas to snuggle in, a comfortable armchair, tables and cupboards. |
| Other: | The living room enters into a spacious balcony with sea view, BBQ and washing line. Mosquito screens throughout which allow open windows, and ventilators in each room to cool down the air. |
| Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service: |
Towels and linnen are changed once a week. Please bring your own beach towels. |
Notes on accommodation
The apartment can be well heated in the wintertime through the wood burner as well as through individual heaters (energy saving) in each room. The apartment is suitable for children and elderly as it is situated on an elevated ground floor.

Outside
The apartment has a balcony with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. The apartment complex is 3 storey high and consists of 6 apartments. It has a cultivated garden around the complex. It is possible to use the internet, rent a bicyle or play tennis at the tourist complex around the corner. The shared pool (for this holiday complex of 12 apartments only) is just across the road providing also a snackbar.
Coast/Beach
Superb sandy beaches are within easy reach, all have EEC Blue Flag for cleanliness and pollution free water. Praia Lota Beach - this is the beach in front of the apartment which leads to the beaches of Altura, Praia Verde and Monte Gordo to the left and to the beaches of Manta Rota, Cabanas and Tavira to the left.
Golf
Golf
Within a radius of 40 km there are all in all sixteen golf courses to choose from, even more if going across the Spanish border to Ilha Christina near the Spanish border town of Ayamonte.
Interest in the eastern Algarve has grown with the opening of two premium golf at Quinata da Ria and Quinta da Cima, only 6 km to the west from the apartment as well as the additional 5 Star Golf courses from Monte Rei and Quinta do Vale. Another beautiful golf course is in Castro Marim on the banks of the Guadiana river further towards the most eastern part of the Algarve. Driving approx. 60km towards the west you find splendid Golf courses in Vilamoura and in Quinta do Largo.About 2 miles east of Tavira you find the Benamour Golf Course, lying opposite the new developed residential area of Conceicao in quiet surroundings neighbouring the fishing village Cabanas.
Another small inland 9 hole golf course, Colina Verde (with it’s own putting green) lies in Maragota near Moncarapacho.
Travel
Car hire is recommended to get the best out of the unspoilt eastern algarve. Arrangements can be made with a reliable and reasonable priced car company. With easy access of the A22 motorway and the EN125 all amenities can be easily reached. Faro Airport is 50km away, Seville is about 2hrs drive, Lisbon airport is 300km away (approx. 3hrs easy drive). Tavira is 15km, Monte Gordo 7km and Vila Real is 10km away.

Supermarket and banking machine 150m. Restaurant 50m. Beach 200m. The region near Praia Lota is the Parque Natural de Ria Formosa, considered the most important sanctuary of wildlife in the Algarve. This natural reserve stretches along 60km and its rich ecosystem is ideal for development of varied fauna and flora. The construction of a new bridge in 1991 across the River Guadiana in the most eastern algarve in Vila Real de Santo Antonio connects Sevilla in Spain with the Algarve. North of Vila Real is Castro Marim that due to ist locations has played a considerable part in the history of Portugal. From the walls of the castle of Castro Marim one can see south across the flat lands that are now a nature reserve for birds and plants, the Reserva natural do Sapal. Monte Gordo is a nice town to visit, shop, to dine and walk along it's promenade along the beach. Overlooking a lagoon along the coast to the east of Tavira is the hamlet of Fabrica and another nearby village, Cacela Velha, which had a cameo role in Portugal's 19th century civil war.
Booking notes
Prices are in Euro for the property per week for 4 people and include Electricity (heating), Gaz, Water, as well as the change of linen and towels once a week. A charge of Euro 55 for the final cleaning applies. Please bring own towels for use of the beach. 30% deposit is required to secure the reservation, the balance is due 45 days prior to the holiday rental. Directions and keys will be provided after final payment. It is possible to pay in GBP or Euro either with cheque or bank transfer.
