The spacious lounge/dining area leads out onto a partially shaded marble sun terrace with loungers overlooking beautifully landscaped gardens. Resort facilities include a large swimming pool, 2 floodlit tennis courts, a putting green, indoor pool, gymnasium, sauna, jacuzzi, snooker and shuffleboard. There is an a la carte restaurant (open all year) overlooking the pool, serving regional and international cuisine, as well as a seasonal poolside restaurant and bar. For other months, although the preferred changeover day is a Saturday, owner will consider bookings starting and finishing on other days. Bookings of less than 1 week available out of season.

Preferred arrival day is Saturday. This may be flexible depending on time of the year - please contact the owner. Arrival time is 15.00 onwards. Departure time is 10.00.

Notes on accommodation
The apartment has recently been fully refurbished and redecorated. Heating and air conditioning in lounge and both bedrooms. This is a non-smoking apartment. Cot/high chair available at additional cost.
Outside
Good range of patio furniture and umbrella. Also two loungers.
Coast/Beach
Alvor beach is about 10 minutes walk. Various other beaches within easy driving distance.
Golf
The Algarve has a large number of golf courses. Guests may use the Alto Golf Course at reduced cost.
Travel
Nearest international airport is Faro, which is about 75km away. Driving time is less than one hour. A car is recommended. However, transfers can be arranged from Faro Airport to the apartment.
Distances
The centre of Alvor village is about 1 km away. This is a delightful fishing village, retaining many original features such as cobbled streets. There is a good range of restaurants serving both regional and international cuisine.
Further details
There is a good sized Ali Super supermarket about 300m from the apartment (update - this has recently closed as it went out of business - we are hopeful something will open in its place). There are banks etc in the centre of Alvor. Larger shopping centres are in Portimao and at the Algarve Shopping Centre near Albufeira.
