The large terrace and heated pool adjoin the villa and are surrounded by mature gardens and lawn. Lagos and Praia da Luz with their sandy beaches are five minutes drive away. Ideal for two family holidays.

Notes on accommodation
The villa is very suitable for children - the pool is accessed through the living room or kitchen door or by one gate to the front. The lawn is ideal for babies to play on.
All bedrooms and bathrooms have electric heater panels.
Outside
Loungers and mattresses for 10. Private 30x15 ft swimming pool with Roman end and child friendly steps. Facility to heat to 80° F for 10 months a year. Latest Australian salt based low chlorine pool filter. Garage and carport recently refurbished. BBQ. Private drive and parking.
Coast/Beach
Praia da Luz - large sandy beach with wind surfers etc at one end is 6 mins drive. Perfect for small children. Lagos with several beaches about 10 mins drive. Burgau a smaller sandy beach is 10 mins drive. The West coast with Atlantic rollers and great surfing is 25 five minutes drive.
Golf
Boa Vista 18 holes 6 mins drive.
Palmeiras 18 holes 15 mins drive.
Parque de Floresta 18 holes 15 mins drive.
Penina 18 holes 20 mins drive.
Travel
Faro airport is just under an hours drive. Lisbon airport can be reached in about two hours.
Distances
Praia da Luz a small one time fishing village 6 mins drive.
Lagos, an old walled sea-port town, under 10 mins drive.
Further details
Lagos has several large supermarkets, banks, restaurants, pedestrian squares, cobbled streets, and a buzzing night life.
Luz is quieter with several small shops, doctor's surgery and a large number of good restaurants, cafes and bars.
Booking notes
25% deposit on booking, the balance and a £200 returnable damage/telephone deposit to be paid 4 weeks before arrival. Pool heating £125 pw. Cots available £15 pw.
Guest comments
We wanted to write and let you know how perfect your villa was for our half term stay. As you know, 3 mothers - 8 children arrived late at night in hire cars to our hilltop destination. It wasn't until the next morning that we quite realised the stunning location and "breathtaking" views over the valley.
Casa Critonia is a fantastic place for families to stay and provides everything you need. It was so well equipped - it was like being at home but not! The house and grounds are so spacious - the boys could play football on the beautiful cobbled drive, whist we lay by the pool with the babies and the girls played hide and seek on the lawn.
A big thank you for providing a DVD player as this gave us an hour of peace at lunch time. Nearly every day we visited a different long sandy beach, with restaurant/bar for ice -cream breaks. Praia da Luz was a very pretty typical Portuguese town.
In case we are too gushy - you need a garlic press.
