This 150 year old farmhouse has been thoughtfully converted to provide a picturesque cluster of charming apartments, set amongst the tranquillity of fragrant orange groves located in Vale de Carro, nearby the fishing village of Olhos D’Agua, golf course of Sheraton Hotel, Açoteias and the magnificent Falésia beach. This secluded location, surrounded by pine trees and rural fields, make it the perfect place for a relaxed away-from-it-all break. Still within easy reach of a great variety of local amenities including shops, beaches, golf courses, restaurants, nightlife and much more. Or you can simply take it easy, lie back and enjoy your holiday haven, relaxing around our lovely pool or getting together with family and friends. Casa da Horta has a large swimming pool with a division especially for children and/or the elderly, lawn gardens, barbecue area and sun terraces. It is conveniently situated in Central Algarve between Albufeira and Vilamoura.

Barbecue with pleasant seating and picnic/eating area. Lawned gardens, patios and sun terraces overlooking pool and orange groves. Roof terrace with loungers for more private sun-bathing. Launderette (coin-op) for your personal necessities. Lovely orchard, where you can pick fresh oranges every day (free for our guests!). Ample parking for those hiring a car, or we can help you to arrange taxis/mini-bus when needed.

It is a picturesque cluster of cosy apartments surrounded by rural fields and country houses, with an inviting swimming pool, separated kids splash pool, and a sun terrace bordered by neat green lawns and well kept gardens. Communal barbecue areas and furnished terrace for each apartment.

Coast/Beach
Close to the long sandy Falésia Beach, with it's back-drop of stunning cliffs, pine-forests and palm trees - 1.2 kilometres away.

Golf
A challenging 9 hole golf course at 10 minutes walk (Pine Cliffs Resort/Sheraton Algarve). Some of the best 18 hole golf courses in Portugal are within a 30 minute drive.

Travel
Faro Airport is 25 kilometres, about 30 minutes drive away. Car hire is not essential but recommended for a couple of days. If required, airport transfers can be arranged at the time of booking.

Distances
Casa da Horta lies on the road between Vale Carro and Olhos d'Agua, 0.6km from the village of Acoteias, 1.5 kilometres east of Olhos d'Agua and 1.2 km from the fabulous long, sandy beach at Falesia. Locally, there are two restaurants 700 metres from the apartments in different directions, one of them in Acoteias, where you will also find two supermarkets, several other restaurants and bars and a delightful, coast-hugging, nine hole golf course at the Pine Cliffs Golf and Country Club.

Further details
There is a big variety of good restaurants within walking distance.
Ambrosia & Nectar restaurant is a place to visit in Olhos de Agua, it is a highly recommended, typical Portuguese restaurant, but Italian food is also available. For family outings, there are 3 water parks within an easy, not too long drive: 'Aqualand', 'Aquashow' and 'Slide and Splash'. 'Zoomarine', theme park has a full programme of marine-life shows and offers a great fun day out. The 'Algarve Shopping' not only offers a fine selection of shops but also houses a multi-screen cinema, bowling alley and a food court. A very large variety of all sorts of sightseeing trips, water sports, boat rides, city day tours, winery visits and much more, is also available. We can also help you with tickets for these.

Special rates can be offered for long winter lets. A deposit of 25% at time of booking is requested to guarantee your reservation. Balance is payable at arrival (if paid with credit card a surcharge of 2% is applied).

We found "Casa da Horta“ accidentally while looking for a place to stay in Algarve. We found everything even better than we expected after looking at the pictures. The house is surrounded by a beautiful orange tree garden, a swimming pool and children's playground. The apartments are very comfortable and there is everything one could need for a relaxing holiday. We paid the deposit before arriving and the rest of the amount when upon check-in. Everything was as we agreed. Although we came very late, we settled without any problems. It‘s a really great place! We will come back once again. P.S. the place is close to the wonderful beach Falesia.

Everyone in the family had the most amazing time and i can't express our thanks enough to both you and the rest our your team for making it so easy and hassle free. It was wonderful and exactly as you said it would be. We will be booking with yourself again.

The location is certainly unique! All our properties are nicely and functionally decorated and equipped. All our villas have a private swimming pool and some can be heated on request. Private car parking spaces to each villa. It's perfect for holidays all year round, as there is air conditioning for cooling in the summer and heating for the colder periods. Towels, bed linen and regular cleaning are provided.
