Coast/Beach
Praia da Luz with its amazing rock structures and long sandy beach is within a 5 minute drive. Lagos has several beaches including the long Meia Praia and picturesque Praia D'Ana with its impressive natural limestone cliffs.
Golf
The championship Boavista 18 hole golf course is set in beautiful surroundings and gives views of the Atlantic and Lagos Bay, the Monchique mountains and the coast as far as Sagres. The challenging and varied holes cross chasms and lakes with fountains, testing all abilities. Buggies and trollies are available for hire. A 20% discount on golf fees is available for resort guests. Other golf courses close by are the renowned Penina, Parque da Floresta, Alto and the new Mulgado course in the mountains. Brand new 10 million Euro clubhouse/SPA recently opened and now available.
Travel
With the opening of the extension to the motorway, Faro Airport is an easy drive and only approximately 45 minutes away.
Distances
It is 3km to the town of Lagos and 2km to the village of Luz. Slightly further away are the seaside towns of Portimao and Albufeira. The Monchique mountains and Sagres are an easy drive.

Lagos offers 4 large supermarkets stocking a good range of
local and UK products. In Lagos there are banks, restaurants, markets, and an interesting old town centre.
Booking notes
Booking can be done via email, by telephone or fax. A 30% deposit required at booking and the remaining 70% is due 30 days in advance of stay. A security deposit of 600 Euros will also be required in advance and refunded upon confirmation by the management company of no damages at checkout.
Payments can be made securely using PayPal, bank transfer or cheque.

Owner profile
About the owner
I am of Portuguese descent and vacation in the Algarve as often as possible. I enjoy spending time at the villa with family and many friends I have met in the Algarve over the years. I plan to retire in the Algarve some day but right now my priority is to put my daughter and son through their university studies.
Why the owner chose a home in this location
Year purchased: 2004. I chose this property in the Algarve because my family all love the beach. Initially I rented properties and my children absolutely loved it. The weather was consistently beautiful, always sunny, warm and hardly any rain. I decided to buy the house and get a head start on retirement plans.
Unique benefits of the property
The many benefits we enjoy whilst staying at our property is the close proximity to so many spectacular beaches. My son is a surfer and can catch waves most days at nearby beaches. My daughter and I enjoy the beautiful club house and all it's many amenities at the Boavista Golf Resort. My son and husband enjoy golfing at the pristine championship golf course.
