Coast/Beach
The beaches of Carvoeiro and Caneiro are within 5 minutes drive. Two very large water activity parks are within a few minutes drive. Zoomarine waterworld is twenty minutes away.
Golf
The golf courses of Vale de Pinta and Grammacho are less than five minutes drive (voted in Europe's top 100). Within 15 minutes drive is Penina, Boavista, Alto & the new championship course at Morgado. Within 30 minutes drive you have over 20 of Europe's finest courses.
Travel
Faro airport is 40 minutes drive. A car is recommended for golf and beaches but restaurants, bars and supermarket are within a few minutes walking distance. If taxis are required then any of the local bars will order them.
Distances
The picturesque village of Ferragudo is a 5 minute drive and the larger town of Portimao 15 minutes.
Further details
There is a local market in Lagoa at the beginning of most months and also a car boot sale on a Sunday morning in Ferragudo. Details of these are found in the local free paper picked up at Intermarche (larger supermarket about 5 minutes drive).
