Tavira Island, golden beach short ferry ride away, and many more beaches to find and explore along the eastern coast. Car hire not necessary for truly relaxing holiday unless you want to explore the countryside, nearby Spain or use the many golf courses a short drive away.

Coast/Beach
Tavira Island with miles of sandy unspoilt beach is accessed from the quayside in the city via a short ferry ride and many other beautiful, sandy beaches are within close driving distance.

Golf
A short drive away are Benamor, Quinta da Ria and Quinta de Cima top-class golf courses and a wide choice of more courses both in the Algarve and nearby Spain.

Travel
Faro airport 30 minutes drive. Car not essential as taxis relatively cheap and plentiful and villa close to centre and all facilities. There is free car parking 15 metres from the house.

Distances
Approximately 200 metres to the centre of the city.

Supermarkets, daily fish/meat/fruit/vegetable market, local market, local shops, speciality shops, many inexpensive restaurants, bars, cafes, cinema, art galleries, open-air performance venues, museums and banks are in easy walking distance.
