The apartment is 2 minutes walk from the club house and near the 5* Marriott Hotel and the sandy beaches of this region. Tennis, golf and football are some of the sports available on site. Children's club available during summer months with surfing, quad biking and many more activities. Praia del Rey is situated within an hours drive north of Lisbon on the unspoilt west coast, between the historic and picturesque towns of Obidos and Peniche. Obidos is a 'world heritage' medieval village, whilst Peniche is a bustling fishing port. Prices shown are for the property per week in UK Pounds. We are happy to take payment in euros.
Prices include all linen and towels which will be changed on a weekly basis. Further cleaning can be arranged before departure or on arrival at a cost of 6.50 per hour. Welcome food packs can also be arranged and contents specified.
Changeover day
Changeover days are flexible. As flights are cheaper weekdays we are happy to accomodate as much as possible.

All towels, linen, gas and electricity are included in price. The apartment is cleaned and linens changed on a weekly basis. Beach towels are also supplied. Extra cleaning can be orgainised before departure or on arrival at a cost of 6.50 euros per hour. |
Notes on accommodation
The apartment is well equipped with all modern conveniences needed for a comfortable holiday. The kitchen is well equipped and modern with every possible appliance. The central heating is very effective in the cooler months and the terracotta tiled floors keep the apartment cool in the summer. All rooms have balconies; the entrance to the apartment looks over the driving range while the front looks over the first tee and directly over the shared pool. The apartment is very attractive to families and golfers alike. For golfers there is easy access to the first tee and clubhouse. For families there is easy access to the swimming pool, tennis courts and children’s club which is situated at the golf clubhouse. There is a DVD player and DVDs are supplied in the lounge. Books and games are also provided.

Accessibility
Not suitable for wheelchair at there are two stairs to climb.
Outside
The apartment shares a large 20m swimming pool and children’s play pool. A barbeque area is beside pool in extensive well maintained gardens.
Coast/Beach
Praia Del Rey has a long beach which can be seen from the apartment, this is a five minute walk away via the golf course and is excellent for walks ending at the hotel for a drink. Obidos Lagoon (6km)is suitable for paddling for very small children. Baleal Beach is a surfers paradise and is excellent for body boarding with small children. There are surfing schools at the beach which are very good value. Surfing can also be arranged at the club house.
Golf
A stunning 18 hole championship golf course with a mix of links and forest holes. Peugeot Guide 2003 rates it as Portugal’s no 1 and Golf World rates it 13th in Europe in November 2003. Well-equipped clubhouse with excellent practice facilities including a short game practice area. Buggies, trolleys and clubs are all available to rent. Lessons can be arranged with English professionals.
Travel
Lisbon Airport is an hours drive away mostly by motorway and is served by BA, TAP, Easyjet and Monarch. Ryanair fly to Porto. The apartment is a 1 hour drive from Lisbon (2-3 from Oporto), this and discovery of the region means car hire is essential. Mini cabs can be arranged for weekend golf trips.
Distances
The 2 nearest towns are Obidos and Peniche - As a world heritage town, Obidos is a popular tourist destination whereas Peniche is a working fishing port where day trips to the Berlengas islands (a national park) can be taken in summer. Both offer historic monuments and excellent restaurants and are around 10 mins drive.

Within the Praia del Rey complex and all within 2 mins of the apartment are 18 hole championship golf course, clubhouse (serving snacks, lunch and dinner), 7 all weather tennis courts, children’s club which can be booked on a half day, daily or weekly basis. Large pool (for the apartment complex), small grocery shop, 5* Marriot Hotel with spa and restaurants. Football pitch.
Booking notes
A 25% deposit is required on booking and the balance is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. A refundable damage deposit of £100 or 150 euros is also required. Cancellation refunds: Up to 8 weeks - no cancellation charge. 4-8 weeks - 50% of rate refunded. s than 4 weeks - no refund. We can arrange the booking of neighbouring apartments if needed.
