Changeover day
Any change over days are fine. Standard check-ins are at 5h30pm and check-outs at 12pm. For any different arrival or departure times, you'll need to make the arrangements directly with the housekeeper and subject to her availability.

Notes on accommodation
The fantastic views and closeness to the beach and to the picturesque village of Vila Cha, makes this accommodation perfect for couples looking for a romantic week by the sea. It also works as perfect base to explore Porto and the north coast of Portugal, including Galicia (1.5 hours from the boarder).
Accessibility
The apartment is located on the 2nd floor with access only through the staircase (no lifts). Street parking close to the entrance door is usually easy to find throughout the day and during most of the year.
Outside
40 sqm terrace is equipped with sunbeds, dinning table, sunshades and barbecue set. Benefits from free wireless internet and great place to spend the day sunbathing and enjoying the views. Also a great place to watch stars in clear winter nights.
Coast/Beach
30 metres from the Nova Praia beach. Nova Praia beach is between Vila Chã and Mindelo beach. Vila Chã is a small fishing village and Mindelo is a small resort for Porto inhabitants. 10mins north by car, you'll find Vila do Conde, a coastal city famous for its food and architecture.
Golf
You can find golf courses north and south of this location, usually at no more than 30mins car distance.
Special interest holidays
For birdwatching lovers, very close to the apartment is located the Mindelo Bird Natural Reserve where you can watch hundreds of different bird species unique to the region. Also, due to its coastal location, you benefit from a view on the community of seagulls flying over the beach during the day.
Travel
The apartment is located only 15 minutes from the Airport (8 miles) but far away from the air path, aircrafts tend to approach the airport coming from the Centre/North or South, so you rarely hear the sound of aircrafts passing over the area.

Lots of local shops around and you can find everything in Porto (from touristic experiences to going out). Vila Chã is a fishing village, very typical in the north of Portugal. Mindelo is more modern where Porto residents typically own a beach house/apartment. Porto is the second city in Portugal and its icons are the famous Port Wine, the history, the food and for the party people, Porto's nightlife is a must.

I was raised in Porto and actually used to live in this apartment and enjoyed the incredible ocean views before moving to the UK in 2004 due to a career opportunity. I currently live in the UK but visit Portugal often. This way, together with the housekeeper, I keep a close eye on the maintenance and comfort of the apartment as well as the service we provide during your stay. I hope you enjoy Northern Portugal and Vila Chã as much as I and the many guests that have stayed there do!

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
The ocean views and the friendliness of the picturesque village of Vila Chã were the reasons that led me to buy this property. Just 30 metres away from the sandy beach of "Praia Nova" in the border between Vila Chã and Mindelo, this is a residential location with friendly neighbours and great beach cafes and restaurants just 10mins walking distance.
Unique benefits of the property
The large and sunny terrace overlooking the ocean west and north, the comfortable and well decorated lounge and the well equipped bedroom, kitchen and bathroom are really the highlights of this property. As the top floor in its building the terrace is sufficiently private to enjoy a whole day of sunbathing as well as an outdoor dinner under the clean sky filled with stars.
