Quinta de Vale do Riso is located in the Arrabida National Park, near Setubal, just 20 miles south of Lisbon. It is set in 8 acre grounds, and approached by a drive lined with olive groves. It boasts spectacular views across to the Arrabida Hills, and is only 10 minutes drive from the sea. There are 2 properties for rent at the Quinta de Vale do Riso. The villa has 3 bedrooms and sleeps up to 6, and the cottage has 1 Bedroom (Sleeps 2). A second double bedroom is available with the cottage if required.

The Cottage:

Twin bedroom. Bathroom with shower. Comfortable living room. Fully fitted kitchen. Air conditioning, TV (satellite) and washing machine. Also available with the Cottage (by arrangement) is a double bedroom that has an elevated position above the rest of the cottage with superb views across the valley. It is accessed separately by a short flight of stairs from the terrace (no internal access to cottage). |

Outside
Outside, the villa has its own private garden, a large shaded and secluded terrace with beautiful views across the National Park. The terrace has a large table, covered in traditional Portuguese tiles, for outdoor eating. There is also a barbecue in the garden.
Outside the cottage, there are 2 terraces, at the front and the back. At the front there is a lovely bougainvillea covered terrace, with a table covered in traditional Portuguese tiles. A sunlounger is provided. At the back of the cottage, leading off the twin bedroom, there is a 2nd covered terrace. This secluded terrace also has a table and chairs provided to sit out and enjoy the sunshine. There is a barbecue in the back garden.
Coast/Beach
The coast is 10 minutes by car.

Car hire is essential.
Further details
This is a perfect retreat for those seeking a relaxed holiday, close to beaches (10 minutes by car) and with easy access to Lisbon (40 minutes/20 miles). Also nearby are the historic towns of Palmela (4 miles), Sesimbra (14 miles) and Setubal (4 miles).
Your host, Wanda Herbert, who has lived at Quinta de Vale do Riso for the past 20 years, will offer very warm hospitality. A welcome pack is provided that includes some basic provisions (like milk, tea/coffee, butter, sugar, fruit and a bottle of wine). She will direct you to the nearest shops (half a mile away), and recommend restaurants in the vicinity.
