Main House (4 Bedrooms, Sleeps 8+1)

The house is built on four split levels. Master bedroom on top floor with double bed, private terrace, bathroom and dressing room with single bed. Three double bedrooms on lower ground floor, one double bedded with en suite bathroom, the other two twin bedded, each with their own bathrooms (though not en suite). All bedrooms have French windows onto shared, covered terrace. All bathrooms have hand-held showers as well as baths, basins and bidets. Wonderful large L shaped kitchen/dining room with access to shaded terrace and table seating 12. The kitchen has eye level oven, hob, microwave, magimix, Kenwood, large fridge with small freezer (another freezer in the laundry). It leads to large open terrace with fabulous views and wooden table with seating for 10. Barbecue also on this level. The drawing room is very large with digital TV, DVD player, piano, music centre and leads onto outside terrace. Laundry. Downstairs cloakroom. Telephone and fax.

The Cottage (2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4+1)

Large sitting/dining room with sofa, extra single bed, Sky Television, fireplace. Kitchen with gas oven/hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, etc. Two small twin-bedded rooms and one bathroom with hand-held shower, bath, basin and bidet. Outside terrace table and chairs for 4.

Notes on accommodation
We are happy to let the house and cottage together as one unit. At certain times of year we will let one or the other, but never to two different parties simultaneously.

Outside
There is a very large garden with shrubs, almond, cork and olive trees, a small dam and a citrus orchard. The pool which is situated between the house and cottage, is down a flight of steps from the house and is 11m x 5m, with stone steps leading into the shallow end. The pool can be heated at an additional cost of £120 per week. There are sun loungers with mattresses around the pool, and sun umbrellas, and a shaded area at one end. The tennis court is a short walk from the house. There are two teak sun loungers on the 'eating' terrace, ten teak chairs and a large teak table. Also white painted iron tables and chaire to seat 12 in the shade. There are extra teak chairs on the drawing room terrace.

Coast/Beach
There are many beaches along the South Coast. Meia Praia is approximately 23 minutes by car and has many small restaurants. Amado and Carrapateira on the West Coast are approximately 25 minutes by car. There are a few good restaurants there too.

Palmares Golf Club: 22 minutes
Boa Vista G.C: 17 minutes
Penina : 22 minutes
Parque de Floresta: 40 minutes

Travel
Faro is the nearest airport, and is 60 minutes by car. Car hire is essential. Lisbon airport is approximately 31/2 hours by car.

Bensafrim: 12 kms
Lagos: 22 kms
Aljezur: 28 kms

Further details
There is a good restaurant in the village of Pincho, 2 kms from the House, and several in Bensafrim. In Bensafrim, there is also a bank, post office, several 'mini mercados'
and a daily market (not Sundays). Water Slide Parks are within easy reach, and Lagos has good shopping for clothes, shoes, and two excellent markets for fish, fruit and vegetables. It is possible to take a day boat cruise around the coast and there is a Marina in Lagos.
