Shared swimming pool, unspoilt sandy beach a short distance away. Within 1 hour of Lisbon & near the enchanting medieval walled town of Obidos. Sintra, Mafra, the great abbeys of Alcobaca & Batalha are all within easy reach making this an ideal base for golfers and non-golfers alike. The area is renowned for its fish and many local restaurants provide excellent food - it is still a relatively unspoilt part of Portugal. Lovely walks along the beach and coast. Nearby the Lagoa d'Obidos provides safe swimming and the opportunities to sail or windsurf & picturesque Baleal is ideal for surfers.

Coast/Beach
2.5 km sandy beach is a short walk away or there is a car park at the end of the golf course with direct beach access.
Very unspoilt. Glorious walks on the beach or along the cliffs where the flowers in springtime are spectacular.
Many other sandy beaches along the coastline.
Golf
Praia del Rey: opened in 1997 but is surprisingly mature. Designed by the American golf architect Cabell B. Robinson, who has incorporated the unspoiled natural beauty of the area and captured picturesque sea views. 4 holes are strung out along the edge of the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic with another six lying adjacent. The remainder are inland, four of them lightly wooded with a hint of heathland. The result is a championship par 72 golf course of 6,625 meteres (7,095 yards) which provides a genuine challenge for golfers of all standards. Golf World Magazine has recently voted the course the 13th best in mainland Europe and it was described as 'No 1 Golf Course in Portugal' by the Daily Telegraph in 2007/. Discounted green fees can be arranged through the owner of the apartment. There are several other golf courses within an hour's drive. The owner is a golfer and is happy to provide advice on these once a rental is confirmed.

Lisbon Airport: 55 mins away. Owner will provide directions to Praia del Rey.
