Located in a prime position on Rocha Brava, the villa is accessed by a shared private drive offering ample off road parking. Ten minutes walk to local beach and golf course. Use of 4 tennis courts, a gym and 3 large swimming pools within the development, together with restaurants, bars and shops. The villa and landscaped gardens are immaculate and the villa has been completely redecorated for the season. Throughout the villa there are character features, the kitchen is fully fitted with hand made units and Brazilian granite worktops, the bathrooms have marble topped vanity units. All floors have beautiful bordered tiles, as have the garden and pool terraces. All rooms are spacious and furnished to a high standard. The hall has an impressive portuguese style barrel ceiling. The property is south facing and has several covered terraces.

Notes on accommodation
This property is a privately owned very spacious detached villa, designed and furnished to the highest of specifications. It is most comfortable and well appointed and has recently been totally redecorated throughout. The owners regularly holiday there and ensure that it is maintained in first class condition. The gardens are colourful and attractively laid out.
Rocha Brava is a 4 star private complex offering pools, play areas, tennis courts (with professional), gym, restaurants and a coffee bar with free wi fi.
There is also a courtesy bus into the local village of Carvoeiro.
Rocha Brava maintains a roving security force which includes a regular nightly logging in station adjacent to the villa.
Outside
Private swimming pool (unheated) with steps 8m x 4m. Depth 1 - 2m. 6 sunloungers. 2 Patio tables & 8 chairs. Built in Barbecue. 3 terraced areas overlook the beautifully landscaped gardens and pool. Private drive with adequate parking for 3 cars. The villa offers complete privacy.
Coast/Beach
The coast is one minutes walk from the private side gate of the villa which takes you to the lighthouse and has spectacular views and sunsets. There is a coastal path offering interesting but in some cases demanding pathways. The nearest beach (Centiannes) is 10 minutes walk from Rocha Brava by road. There are many other delightful beaches and coves, some with restaurants, within 10 minutes drive. Details of these are available in the villa.
Golf
Walking distance of Vale de Mihlo. Other nearest courses include Gramacho and Pinta (10 mins by car/taxi), Palmaris, Penina, Salgados, Boavista, Silves and Morgado.
Tennis also on site with daily mix in club standard tennis organised by the resident professional.
Travel
45 minutes drive from Faro airport - An easy run and we can provide directions.

It is not necessary to have a car as there are restaurants and shopping facilities close by.
Distances
The nearest village (Carvoeiro) is 30 minutes walk and 5 minutes by car. A courtesy bus runs into Carvoeiro from the complex throughout the day. Taxi fare is approximately 5 euros. Lagoa town is approximately 12 minutes drive. Silves is 15 mins drive, has a castle and very quaint streets. Portimao is approx 20 mins drive with its well known sardine restaurants and attractive marina. There is a huge shopping mall and cinema complex at Algarve Retail Park which is 15 mins drive away.
Further details
The tennis club on the complex is available for residents and guests and there is mix-in club tennis daily. Courts can be rented for personal games or you can join in the club sessions. There is coaching available for all ages and abilities.

There is a water park activity centre (Slide and Splash) within 12 minutes drive. It is one of the best water parks that we have ever experienced, well designed and maintained and is really worth a family day out.
Another fun family day can be taken at the Zoo Marine which is approx 15 mins by car/taxi - there are themed entertainments, high dive show, fun fair, swimming with the dolphins (advise to book in advance) - caters for all ages.
Numerous supermarkets within easy reach (by car or taxi), 2 within walking distance.
Several good quality restaurants available within walking distance suiting all ages and tastes. Topped up by a myriad of restaurants in Carvoeiro for varied dining.
Booking notes
A deposit of £250 per week is required on booking, with the balance due 8 weeks before arrival. A deposit of £250 is required to be held against breakages which is refundable at the end of the let.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We believe that Rocha Brava has everything to offer all ages, from young to old, and in effect you do not need to leave the site at all to experience an enjoyable and relaxing holiday. Equally, you do not need a car. It is easily accessible with Faro airport being just a 45 minute car/taxi ride away. It is close to beautiful beaches and numerous bars and restaurants. Sports lovers can walk to the tennis courts and the nearby Vale de Milho golf course, with many other golf courses minutes drive away. The Slide and Splash is excellent and once again just minutes drive away. The Zoomarine is also excellent being a 20 minute drive.
Unique benefits of the property
The villa is modern, spacious and equipped to the highest standards of a family home, i.e. it is not bare and unwelcoming. It was designed by an English family for their own use, and as such has many special features such as the Portuguese style barrel ceilings, beautiful tiling, Juliette style balconies to all bedrooms and hand made kitchen units with Brazilian granite worktops. It is extremely well equipped and maintained. The gardens are delightful and there is plenty of space around the pool for sunbathing. Also, for those who like to keep out of the sun there is ample covered terracing. The visitors book is testimony to the amount of wonderful holidays that have been experienced at the villa.
