Set in landscaped gardens you can relax in peaceful surroundings by the swimming pool, or if you prefer a little more privacy you have your own very large private South facing terrace with magnificent sea views and sun all day, perfect for al-fresco dining with built in barbeque. The location is perfect for families, couples, individuals or groups of golfers. The beaches of Castelo and Evaristo are a 5 minute walk, there are an abundance of first class restaurants in the area, most within walking distance. Salgados golf course is a 5 minute drive, as are the new Marina at Albufeira and more glorious beaches at Gale, San Rafael, Coelha and Salgados. There is a local bus stop close by to take you into the main town of Albufeira, or taxis are cheap and efficient if you do not wish to hire a car.

Changeover day
Change over days are flexible and availability is all year. Apartment available from 3pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 12 noon on day of departure, unless agreed by prior arrangement.

Long term rentals and daily rates available on request. Apartment is on 1st (top) floor accessed via stairs. Families with very small children, please ask for further details. Air conditioning/heating in all rooms is provided free of charge. Books and board games supplied, a selection of cd's and dvd's are provided also. Please note this is a NO SMOKING apartment, guests are welcome to smoke outside on the terrace.

Landscaped communal gardens and swimming pool with sunbeds provided (shared between only 14 apartments). Gardens and condominium fully enclosed with remote gated entrance so safe for children. Very large private south facing sun terrace with built in BBQ and patio furniture provided. Secure parking. Car hire available.
Coast/Beach
Castelo and Evaristo beaches 5 minutes walking distance, Coehlo beach 5 minutes walk and many more only a 5 minute drive.
Golf
Nearest golf course is Salgados which is only a 5 minute drive. One of the newest on the Algarve it presents quite a challenge as it features many water hazards as the course is built on reclaimed land. Many other courses are within a short drive including The Old Course, Millennium, Laguna, Pinhal and the newly opened Victoria at Vilamoura, the Ocean and Royal at Vale do Lobo, San Lorenzo, Quinta North, Quinta South and Pinheiros Altos at Quinta do Lago.
Travel
Distance from Faro airport 25 minutes drive with easy access straight off motorway (IP1/A22). Nearest railway station (Ferreiras) 15 minutes drive. Local bus route nearby. Taxis cheap and efficient. Car not essential but recommended. Car hire can be arranged at discounted rates if required.

Albufeira 5 minutes drive. Algarve shopping centre 10 minutes drive. Vilamoura 15 minutes drive. Vale do Lobo/Quinta do Lago 20 minutes drive.

20% deposit on booking, balance due 8 weeks before holiday. £100 deposit cheque against any damages payable 8 weeks before holiday and refunded within 14 days after holiday if all is well in apartment. Welcome pack provided, transfers available at a cost of 80 euros return payable locally. Car hire can also be arranged at discounted rates.

About the owner
We live in Wiltshire in a small market town, and have two adult children who both live at home. We have run our own garage repair business for over 22 years in a nearby village, and employ 4 people including our brother-in-law. We enjoy gardening, cooking, visiting the cinema, swimming and golf. We spend our holidays usually with friends or family, and mainly in Portugal which we love. We have a sister and brother-in-law who have lived on the Algarve for 9 years and we can combine our holiday with visiting family.

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
It is a beautiful area, with Castelo and Evaristo beaches just minutes away, and Gale beach 15 minutes walk/5 minutes car ride away. Our apartment is one of only 15, in large gardens with a superb pool. The apartment is on the first floor with a huge private terrace which benefits from all day sun. The area is very quiet, yet only 10 minutes from Fishermans Beach in Albufeira, the Marina, Gale Beach, Salgados Golf Course and numerous restaurants. From our terrace you can see the sea, and in January or February it is wonderful to sit there with a cup of tea in the warmth of the winter sun.
Unique benefits of the property
Peaceful but close to all amenities. Private terrace with all-day sun, great for sun-worshippers. There are many restaurants of all types within walking distance, and further afield, taxis are reasonable.
Close to the local bus route.
The property is looked after by my sister and brother-in-law who live about 15 minutes away. The apartment is very well equipped, it is our home on the Algarve and as such furnished to a very high quality. My sister does the cleaning and laundry and is meticulous. My brother-in-law carries out any maintenance that may be required. The apartment was decorated throughout in the spring of this year. We offer a starter grocery pack - not just tea bags! It includes bread, water, milk, bacon or ham, eggs, cheese, biscuits, juice and lemonade.
