Coast/Beach
Sao Rafael small beach is 3/4 minutes on foot, whilst the big beach is 6/8 minutes walk over the cliffs. Both beaches have sun loungers to hire, bar/restaurants and the big beach has a lifeguard. The small beach has a sheltered cove with rock pools to explore, whilst the big beach offers a good strech of sand and is better for swimming. There are many other lovely beaches along the coast within a few minutes drive.
Golf
Salgados (18 hole coastal course) is an easy 10 minutes drive whilst Balaia (9 hole) is 15 minutes by car. The world famous Vilamoura complex, sporting 4 separate courses, including the Millenium and Ocean, is only 30 minutes by car. Several other Algarvian courses are within 20/40 minutes drive.
Travel
Sao Rafael is 33-40 minutes by car from Faro Airport. The journey is simple and direct. Car hire recommended, but not absolutely essential. Flying into Lisbon is possible with a journey time of about 3 hours by car, again the route is direct though there are road tolls.
Distances
Albufeira old town is 5 minutes by car with its great variety of shops, restaurants, celebrated street entertainment, plus the renowned Fisherman's beach. The east side of Albufeira with 'The Strip' has many shops, pubs, restaurants and nightclubs. The new Albufeira marina which opened in 2004 is about 20 minutes on foot and has a growing range of shops, restaurants and water activities.
Further details
The central Algarve has a huge variety of activites and items of special interest apart from the beach and golf. There is horse riding, diving, sailing, walking especially along the beautiful coastal cliffs & cycling.
There are 2 good sized supermarkets each 5 minutes by car, with banks, post office & pharmacies in Albufeira.
"Algarve Shopping" with a hypermarket, cinema, bowling alley, numerous shops & restaurants is 15-20 minutes by car.
Booking notes
25% deposit at time of booking. Balance due 6 weeks before departure together with £150 cheque (security deposit)against damage. Security deposit returned after vacating, assuming there are no damages to be deducted. Our management team are English speaking and are available to help you at any time during your stay.
