mile boardwalk around Alvor Bay and sand dunes. The complex consists of a heated indoor pool with hot tub/sauna, an outdoor pool and children's paddling pool. There are also floodlit tennis courts, gymnasium, gourmet restaurant and bar.
10 minutes walk to Alvor's beautiful 3 miles of white sandy beach.

Notes on accommodation
Cot, highchair or extra beds can be arranged at minimal cost. Sorry, no animals or pets allowed. No smoking inside any of the apartments. Wheelchair access to property 42D only (ground floor). Further photos available on request.
Outside
The complex consists of a heated indoor pool with hot tub/sauna, an outdoor pool and children's paddling pool. There are also floodlit tennis courts, gymnasium, gourmet restaurant and bars.

Coast/Beach
The Alto Club resort is 10 minutes walk from a beautiful long sandy beach. There is a wonderful boardwalk along the beach with stunning views.
Golf
The Alto (Pestana) golf course is 2km from the resort, designed by Sir Henry Cotton. The Pestana group also owns Gramacho, Vale da Pinta, Silves Golf & Vila Sol.
Travel
Faro airport is 35 mins drive.
Car hire and taxi can be arranged.
Distances
The fishing village of Alvor is 5 minutes walk from the resort and stunning beach 10 mins walk or 5 mins drive.
Further details
The resort, with beautiful landscaped subtropical gardens, pools and waterfalls, overlooks the bay of Lagos. The resort is located in West-Central Algarve within easy access of Portimao and night life in Praia da Rocha.
Alvor has much to offer, tours and boat trips can be organised as well as many activities to include surfing, kitesurfing, cycling, sailing, horse riding... and many more. The wonderful boardwalk around the estuary and running parallel to the beach is a a great way to see Alvor at its best.
The mountains of Monchique are worth a visit to either walk amongst the cork trees or simply stopping for Chicken Piri Piri at one of the many restaurants with spectactular views.

Just a note to say thank you for letting us stay at your lovely apartment. It was very spacious, comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. Also in a very good location for the pool.
