Our villa, no 6A, is a well maintained villa on the privately owned Quinta de Saudada. There are excellent views across open farmland, a nature reserve and the sea. About 1 mile from the Quinta is the Salgados golf course and several peaceful, sandy beaches close by. The area is quiet and attracts birdwatchers and those wishing to enjoy life in the Algarve. About 5 miles to the east is the town of Albufeira for those wanting a livelier setting. Horse-riding is available at the Quinta's own riding school: the Quinta also has a tennis court and mini golf.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds and include maid service , electricity and gas, linen and towels: bookings of 2 weeks or more have 10% discount on 2nd and subsequent weeks: also negotiable rates for winter lets one month plus. RSPB members discount available. During November to March inclusive firewood and electric are charged extra. Usual start day is Thursday but you can start any day of the week - please check with us before booking.

Kitchen: The kitchen is fully equipped including oven, ceramic hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, electric kettle, toaster, coffee percolator etc...
Living Rooms: The lounge is larger than normal as it has been extended. There is satellite TV, video recorder, radio, CD and cassette player. There is also a selection of books and games. Woodburner stove in the lounge area for Winter and air conditioning for Summer.

Linen and towels are supplied as well as towels for use at the Quinta pools. Maid service (not Sundays) - daily April to September inclusive; rest of year on alternate days.

Accessibility
The villa has its own private car park beside the house - from there steps lead down to the entrance door making it unsuitable for wheelchairs or those with walking difficulties.

Outside
The balcony is narrower than normal due to the extension to the lounge, but the roof terrace is larger. On the roof terrace there is a built-in barbeque and ample sunbathing furniture. Private car parking.

Coast/Beach
About 2 miles by road and track: Wonderful birdwatching at Salgados Marsh on way to beach.

Golf
Reduced fees are now available for owners and guests at Salgados Golf Club which is 5 minutes from the quinta.

Travel
40 minutes to Faro airport.
Car hire is recommended.

Distances
Albufeira five miles: Guia three miles

Further details
The villa is situated next but one to the top swimming pool, which is the quieter of the 2 pools. Also in the Quinta is a hard surface tennis court, riding stables, a mini golf course, a petanque court and a children's play area with its own paddling pool. Internet access available in the Quinta office.

The Quinta is an extremely popular area for family holidays and quiet out of season breaks. Splendid birdwatching locally as well as an hour or so north in the Alentejo.

Booking notes
Once we can confirm the dates you require, we ask for a 20% deposit of the total cost and the balance is payable by six weeks prior to your arrival date at the Quinta. Payment by preference direct into our UK bank account or by cheque sent to our Swiss address. .
