Quinta do Burro is situated in the Eastern Algarve countryside surrounded by fields of Orange, Alfaroba, Almond, Fig, Olive and Pomegranite trees. The cottage is attached to the house of the owners and has been completely refurbished in a modern, open plan, studio style with air conditioning and tasteful furnishings. Guests have full use of the large swimming pool which has a healthy salt water filtration system and a large sun deck and terrace area. Quinta do Burro will offer the opportunity to relax and either do nothing, walk the countryside, drive to the mountains or visit the many historical sites and see the old Algarve. You can relax by the pool or on the beach, shop in the towns and eat out at the many local restaurants. Whatever you choose this is the place to wind down and chill out.

Outside
Patio door out of cottage leads to patio area with a BBQ and seating and then onto the garden with access to the fields. Kitchen door leads to a decked area with seating.
Guests have full use of the large swimming pool 8mts x 4mts which has an eco-friendly salt water filtration system so no stinging eyes from chlorine. Pool has a decking with loungers, cushions and sun umbrellas. Terrace is surround with shady trees and has a secluded sun bathing area.
Coast/Beach
Within 30 minutes drive we have the famous golden sand of the Atlantic Beaches of the Algarve, most of which have some sort of snack bar. From Vila Real de Sto. Antonio you can cruise the Guadiana river which is the border between Spain & Portugal.
Golf
Within 30 minute drive there are two high quality golf courses and several smaller 9 hole courses. Holiday membership at a flat green bowling club is available within 10 minutes drive. A 30 minute drive will also bring you to Vilamoura marina for sailing and boat trips, the Guadiana River for sailing and cruises up river, several good beaches and water parks.The well known Zoomarine is 40 minutes drive away.
Travel
20 minutes drive from Faro airport. We do not have public transport and use of a car is essential. Car hire is available at the airport or transfers can be arranged at extra cost and cars hired locally.
Distances
10 minutes drive from nearest village (Moncarapacho) with market, supermarket, banks, post office and several restaurants.15 minutes from the interesting town of Tavira with its old streets, moorish architecture, riverside restaurants and shops; 20 minutes from Spanish border. Less than 2 hours from Seville and 4 hours from Gibraltar.
