Casa Pedranjo is a new property, set in a very peaceful location in the heart of the old village but benefiting from all facilities necessary to provide a very good and relaxing holiday. Within a few minutes walk, there are excellent restaurants including an Indian take-away, friendly bars, small grocery shops, a market selling fish and vegetables, a newsagent, a cash dispenser and a recreational park for children of all ages. There is a new 18 hole golf course on the edge of the village. The property has a large well equipped modern kitchen, a large sitting room and dining area, a toilet and shower room and a terrace with barbecue and outside kitchen. A private pool will be availble for Easter this year. On the first floor, there is a double bedded room with en-suite bathroom and 2 twin bedded rooms share a bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have terraces with panoramic views over open countryside.

Notes on prices
During the winter months, we have including energy costs at 50 euro per week. Consumption in excess of this will be charged at the standard EDP rates. A starter basket of logs is included.
Changeover day
Please contact me regarding the change over day. On the day of departure, we ask that guests to vacate the property by 10.30h to allow the property to be thoroughly cleaned. Arrival after 15.30h.

There is an enclosed garden with shrubs and fruit trees. An above ground swimming pool (7.3 x 3.75 m) will be installed for Easter 2012. There is a terrace that leads to the garden and has a barbecue with outside kitchen area. Steps lead down to the garden.
Coast/Beach
The wide, sandy beach at Praia da Luz is a 5 minute drive. There are several beautiful beaches at Lagos - a 10 minute drive. There are many other excellent beaches along the coast of the Wesern Algarve, such as Burgau and Salema - all these within a 20 minute drive.
Golf
Espiche Golf Course is 2 kilometres away (18 holes). This is a new course. Boavista Golf Club & Spa is 2 kilometres away (18 hole). Parque da Floresta is 5 kilometres away (18 holes). Palmares Golf is 10 kilometres away (27 holes). Penina Golf is 20 kilometres away (27 hole Championship course). Another 5 courses within a half hour radius.
Travel
The airport at Faro is a 50 minute drive and Lisbon a 2.5 hour drive. Car hire is necessary.

Espiche village - everything in walking distance.
Luz - 5 minutes by car.
Lagos - 10 minutes by car.

The village of Espiche has a comprehensive range of facilities - 5 restaurants (including a very good Indian take-away), several bars (inlcuding a sports bar showing sporting events), small grocery stores selling local fresh produce, a market, a newsagent, a cash dispenser and for the children, an excellent park with football pitch, skate/BMX area and a play zone. There are supermarkets and banks in Luz and Lagos. There 3 water parks - a 30 minute drive. There are watersport activities, golf, a luxury spa and tennis courts all within a 5 minute drive.

A 25% deposit is requested at the time of booking with the balance 4 weeks before arrival. A security deposit of 300 euro on arrival, refundable on departure.

About the owner
I moved to Portugal a year ago with my family after running a small hotel in Northern France. My husband and I have travelled extensively and have both worked as ex-pats for much of our lives; before deciding to settle in Portugal. We have a 12 year old son who is growing up in a wonderful environment and is enjoying the benefits of an international education and outdoor sporting life. My husband and I are currently building up a gourmet food business with the production of our own sausages, pastries and cured meats. We like a challenge!

We just love the Western Algarve! The people are gentle and welcoming. The sun shines and life always seems more positive when the skies are blue. We have made good friends, we are surrounded by beautiful scenery and a wonderful coastline, the locally caught seafood is delicious and the wine very drinkable! What more could anyone want?
Unique benefits of the property
Simply, everything is on your doorstep. No need to take the car. One can walk to a choice of restaurants or bars and if you forget a grocery item, there are several 'mini-mercados' around the corner. And there is a safe park with lots of activities for the children.
