The Upper House provides a unique haven after the bustle of nearby Albefeira or Portimao. The relaxed country style living creates a cosy and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The House is set amid beautiful rural countryside with orange groves and unrivalled views of Sierra Monchique, yet within easy reach of many coastal resorts including Albufeira, Praia Da Rocha, Portimao, Alvor and Lagos and historic Silves, the ancient former Moorish capital of the Algarve. Ramblers or birdwatchers may wish to indulge themselves in the hills around Monchique or along the spectacular west coast. Others may be drawn to the glorious beaches, the hurly burly of the resorts or simply unwind and enjoy the quiet and privacy around our pool.

All bedrooms, which have their own adjacent private bathroom/showeroom, are air conditioned, have king size beds or twin bed alternative and are supplied with: Tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, towels, pool towels and bath robes. heating is also included.

Notes on accommodation
Our traditional English breakfast is supplemented by a choice of cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurt and is served in the air conditioned dining room.
Other facilities include: Fridge for sole use of guests, ironing room complete with equipment and use of washing machine. There is TV in the lounge.
Outside
Outside there are plenty of sun beds and sun umbrellas. Guests may like to use the built-in barbecue on the terrace overlooking the pool which can be lit up during the evening. Ample patio furniture, utensils, crockery, etc supplied.
Coast/Beach
The glorious beach of Armacao de Pera is about 8 miles.
Travel
A car is essential and Faro Airport is a 45 minute drive.
Distances
The Upper House is an ideal base for exploring the entire Algarve region. The nearest town of Silves is about 4 miles
which has supermarkets, newsagents, banks, post office, the historic castle and an abundance of restaurants. Good restaurants are to be found in almost every town or village, nearest 2 miles.
Further details
If you are keen on activities there are a number of centres for: horse riding, diving, sailing, golf, cycling and mountain biking. Ramblers and birdwatchers will find numerous locations of special interest and we have information on some of them.

We regret we are unable to supply credit card facilities.
Deposit of 90 Euros or £60.00 required for one week booking. Balance payable 6 weeks prior to arrival.
We regret that due to the nature of the holiday and to ensure all our guests enjoy privacy and relaxation we are unable to accept children.
