Privately owned 2 bed duplex apartment at prestigious Sao Rafael beach resort. Only 2km from the centre of the old town of Albufeira and its famous fishermans beach. Approximately 30 minutes from Faro airport. The apartment is set amongst beautiful gardens which lead down to the beach of Sao Rafael which is a 5 minute walk through the grounds and there are many bars and restaurants in the area.

Prices are for the property per week in Euros. Discounts available for periods of stay longer than 2 weeks except July and August. Long stay periods in the winter are offered at a very modest price.

Changeover day
Normally Saturday/Sunday but we can be flexible were possible.

Fully tiled luxury bathroom suite-bath with shower over, WC, vanitory unit.
Kitchen: Newly installed May 2006:
Brand new shaker kitchen, with all mod cons integrated fridge/freezer, washing machine, built in microwave, and all new cooking utensils.
Utility Room: iron& ironing board,electric hoover.
Living Rooms: TV, VCR, DVD, CD/radio/tape. Brand new suite of furniture.
Traditional wood burning fireplace.
French doors leading onto veranda with panoramic garden and sea views.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
Towels and linen provided.PLease bring your own pool and beach towels. Midweek cleaning can be provided at a small cost.

 

Notes on accommodation
An additional fold up bed or cot for a small child can be arranged on request.

Outside
Balcony off lounge with patio furniture, lawns and gardens to front and side, car parking. There is also a shared swimming pool and children's pool.

Coast/Beach
Sao Rafael beach is 5 minutes on foot through the grounds of the resort. This is a private beach that does not get to crowded even in the height of summer. It offers sun loungers, restaurants and a lifeguard. Sardinia beach is 10 mins walk left of the apartment and is our pesonal favorite as this is a beautiful cove and has a fantastic restaurant serving freshly catched fish of the day,by very pleasant staff.

Golf
Salgados (18 hole coastal course)10 minutes drive(west)
Balaia (9 hole)10 minutes drive(east). The majority of the Algarves finest golf courses are within 20/40 minutes drive.

Travel
Sao Rafael is 30 minutes by car from Faro Airport, the new cross Algarve road (A22 via Infante de Sagres) making the journey simple and direct. Flying into Lisbon is also possible with a journey time of about 3 hours by car, again the route is direct though there are road tolls.

Distances
Albufeira or the old town as its known is 5 minutes by car with its great variety of shops and restaurants.
Montechero A.K.A The Strip is 10 minutes by car for more shops, restaurants and niteclubs. The brand new Marina of Albufeira with its striking architecture and growing range of upmarket facilities, which only opened in 2004 is 10 minutes on foot. Zoomarine and Aqualand are 20 minutes by car.

Further details
The central Algarve has a huge variety of activites and items of special interest apart from the beach. Golf, horse riding, diving, walks,cycling. There is always something to do and places to go to, restaurants, bars and cafes are numerous.

Booking notes
100 euros deposit (200 euros July/August bookings) with balance due 6 weeks before departure. A 100 euros cheque (security deposit) against damage, collected on arrival. Returned after inspection and cleaning.
